News: Flacco is dealing with a cold that caused him to miss practice Wednesday, the Baltimore Sun reports. Impact: While Flacco sat out Wednesday's practice, the report notes that Flacco's illness isn't thought to be serious, so his status for Sunday's game against the Browns does not appear to be in peril.(RotoWire, )

News: Flacco has returned to practice one day after missing workouts with an illness. The Baltimore Ravens quarterback said on Thursday that he had picked up a stomach virus from his son. He said, "I feel better," adding that he "didn't want to get the whole team sick." Impact: Flacco, who has never missed a start, says he could not recall missing a practice before, either. He is expected to make his 99th consecutive regular-season start Sunday when the Ravens play at Cleveland. Flacco completed 21 of 29 passes for 166 yards and two touchdowns to lead the 1-1 Ravens to a 26-6 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers last week. (STATS, 3:35pm)

News: Flacco completed 21-of-29 passes for 166 yards and two touchdowns in Thursday's 26-6 win over the Steelers. Impact: Flacco played far better than the passing yardage indicates, as he primarily attempted short passes, and was accurate on nearly every one of them, making a complete 180 from Week 1. He also only threw the ball 29 times, after going 35-of-62 for 345 yards in Sunday's loss to the Bengals. It seems that Flacco will still be a frustrating player for fantasy owners, as he typically lacks for volume when he plays well. However, the overall results in Gary Kubiak's offense have been solid, and the Ravens have been favoring the quarterback sneak in short-yardage situations, which should eventually lead to a few rushing touchdowns. Flacco actually had one called back Thursday night due to an offsides penalty, after he had come up just short on another sneak the previous play.(RotoWire, )

News: Flacco completed 35-of-62 passes for 345 yards, with a touchdown and an interception in Sunday's 23-16 loss to the Bengals. Impact: The Ravens fell behind early and threw often, largely because of Flacco's awful play in the first half. He consistently misfired on short and intermediate passes early in the game, and then made a bone-headed mistake before the half that cost the Ravens a chip-shot field goal. Flacco's struggles continued through the middle of the third quarter, when he threw an ugly interception to Bengals linebacker Emmanuel Lamur. Finally, Flacco got things going late in the game, turning a 15-0 deficit into a 16-15 lead, with the go-ahead strike an 80-yard touchdown pass to Steve Smith. Though the overall performance was one of the worst of his career from a non-fantasy perspective, Flacco was accurate on the few deep throws he attempted, and he didn't get much help from his receiving corps. The Baltimore offensive line, a major problem last season, played reasonably well until the final drive of the game. Flacco won't have to wait long for a shot at redemption, as the Ravens face the Steelers on Thursday.(RotoWire, )
