News: Cumberland (Achilles) will not play in Friday's preseason game, the New York Daily News' Manish Mehta reports. Impact: He has now been dealing with the sore Achilles for almost two weeks, and while the injury isn't considered serious, it's enough to keep him out of action Friday. Jace Amaro should get plenty of looks at tight end during the Jets' third preseason game.(RotoWire, )

News: Cumberland (Achilles) missed Monday's practice, reports. Impact: Cumberland exited last Tuesday's practice with soreness in his Achilles tendon and has not practiced or played since. While his condition isn't considered serious, Cumberland had surgery on his other Achilles back in 2011, so the tight end is certainly wary of coming back too early. Fortunately, Cumberland returned to positional drills Tuesday and figures to reassume the Jets' starting tight end position ahead of rookie Jace Amaro.(RotoWire, )
