News: Parmele, not Stepfan Taylor, will replace Jonathan Dwyer as Arizona's short-yardage back. Impact: Parmele was out of football last year and has yet to run for an NFL touchdown, so he seems like an odd fit for a short-yardage/goal-line role. Still, the Cardinals will evidently give him the first shot at replacing Dwyer. Perhaps Taylor will get his chance if Parmele proves ineffective.(RotoWire, )

News: Parmele signed with the Cardinals on Thursday, the team's official site reports. Impact: After spending time with the Cardinals during training camp, Parmele will now serve behind Andre Ellington (foot), Stepfan Taylor, and Robert Hughes following the deactivation of Jonathan Dwyer. Parmele's ultimate role hasn't been determined, but as the biggest running back (5-11, 225) currently on the roster, he could eventually factor into short-yardage or goal-line looks.(RotoWire, )
