News: Taylor (arm) expects to be sidelined for six weeks, FOX Sports reports. Impact: Taylor suffered a broken arm last Sunday, but has remained on the Steelers' roster in hopes of being available some time later this season. According to Taylor, that appears a likely possibility, after the cornerback had two plates and 15 screws inserted in his arm this week. As a result, the veteran anticipates being able to return in six weeks, although it remains to be seen how reliable that self-prognosis actually is. Until Taylor is ready to play, William Gay will serve as the Steelers' starting cornerback opposite Cortez Allen.(RotoWire, )

Impact: Taylor had a plate put in his forearm during surgery after Sunday's ugly injury and will now be sidelined for the foreseeable future. However, with the Steelers opting to keep Taylor on their roster, the possibility of him returning toward the latter portion of this season has not yet been ruled out. Impact: NBC chose not to show the replay, after Taylor visibly had his arm broken by the helmet of teammate Lawrence Timmons. News: Taylor (arm) will not return to Sunday night's game against the Panthers, the Associated Press reports. Impact: Taylor suffered a nasty arm injury in the third quarter and was helped off the field by team medical personnel. His arm was placed in an air cast, which is typically an indicator of a broken bone. The Steelers are yet to provide an official diagnosis, but Taylor's outlook is bleak, based upon how the injury looked on the telecast.(RotoWire, )
