News: Tate (hip) was targeted 11 times in Sunday's 34-9 loss to the Patriots, finishing with four receptions for 97 yards. Impact: After alarmingly receiving just two targets in last week's loss to Arizona, Tate's 11 looks led the team this Sunday. The fact that he managed to be productive, despite the continuing offensive struggles for Detroit (no touchdowns in the last eight quarters), is an encouraging sign, and the Lions' soft upcoming schedule should give Tate plenty of opportunities to be successful. Detroit's next three games, all at home, come against teams ranked in the bottom half of the league in points allowed to opposing wide receivers (Bears, Buccaneers, Vikings).(RotoWire, )

News: Tate (hip) is listed as active for Sunday's game against New England.   Impact: Tate is out there if you need him this week, though it's unclear which cornerback he'll see more of Sunday, Brandon Browner or Darrelle Revis, with Patriots' plans to try to contain fellow wideout Calvin Johnson uncertain, until the game gets going.(RotoWire, )

News: Tate (hip) is probable for Sunday's game against New England. Impact: Tate wasn't listed on the injury report prior to Friday, when he showed up as a limited practice participant. It's not clear whether Tate tweaked the hip during practice Friday or if he has some irritation going into Friday and the Lions decided to rest him a bit. It is in any case a minor issue, as evidenced by his probable designation.(RotoWire, )

News: Tate had just two catches on two targets for 41 yards and added a rush for eight yards in Sunday's 14-6 loss at Arizona. Impact: Tate wasn't involved much, but Matthew Stafford and the entire offense struggled to move the ball. Calvin Johnson received treatment on his elbow after the game, although he downplayed the severity of it. If Johnson were forced to miss action, Tate would obviously get a boost in value.(RotoWire, )

News: Even with Calvin Johnson back in the lineup, Tate continued to shine with 11 catches for 109 yards against the Dolphins. Impact: Tate has 50 catches for 708 yards and three scores in his last six games. He should still be in your lineup with Johnson back.(STATS, 3:56pm)
