News: Bernard (hip/clavicle) had 17 carries for 45 rushing yards and two catches on three targets for 22 receiving yards Sunday against the Texans. Impact: Playing in his first game since Week 8 against the Ravens, Bernard finished with one fewer carry than Jeremy Hill, who rushed for 87 yards and a touchdown, a two-yard run in the third quarter. With the way that Hill played while Bernard was sidelined, it wouldn't be surprising if the backfield turned a bit into a timeshare, which certainly will limit the upside of both backs. Up next is a Week 13 matchup against a Buccaneers defense allowing the 11th-most rushing yards per game this season.(RotoWire, )

News: Bernard (hip/clavicle), who is active for Sunday's game against the Texans, is listed as the starter, the Cincinnati Enquirer reports. Impact: We're passing the news along, but we don't believe this information really means anything, as far as Bernard's workload is concerned. He is still going to share time with Jeremy Hill, and may even see fewer touches than Hill, as the Bengals ease him back into action.(RotoWire, )

News: Bernard (hip/clavicle) is active for Sunday's game against the Texans. Impact: With Jeremy Hill running so well in Bernard's absence and Bernard still not fully healthy, the Bengals seem likely to ease their regular starter back into action, possibly employing some sort of timeshare against the Texans. It's not an ideal situation for owners of either back, but it doesn't necessarily mean you shouldn't start Bernard. Simply be aware of the fact that he might share a big chunk of the workload with Hill.(RotoWire, )

News: Bernard (hip/clavicle) is probable for Sunday's game against the Texans after practicing fully Friday, according to Geoff Hobson of Bengals.com. Impact: While Bernard is on track to resume action this week, his potential workload level in his anticipated return to action lacks clarity, though it appears as though the Bengals may be inclined to ease Bernard back into their backfield mix this weekend, with Jeremy Hill still a candidate to see his share of Week 12 carries, on the heels of his 27-carry, 152-yard effort in Week 11.(RotoWire, )

News: Bernard (hip/clavicle) indicated that he felt good after practicing fully Thursday, the Bengals' official site reports. Impact: Per the report, it appears as though the Bengals are inclined to ease Bernard back into their backfield mix this weekend, with Jeremy Hill also a candidate to see his share of Week 12 carries. In any case, while Bernard's workload level in his anticipated return to action may lack clarity, it appears as though only a setback would prevent him from suiting up Sunday against the Texas.(RotoWire, )

News: Bernard (hip/clavicle) practiced in a limited fashion Wednesday, Coley Harvey of ESPN.com reports. Impact: Per the Bengals' official site, offensive coordinator Hue Jackson said after practice Wednesday that Bernard looked "tremendous," though he did suggest that that the running back would be eased back into the lineup, with fellow RB Jeremy Hill also on hand and deserving of his share of touches.(RotoWire, )

News: Bernard (hip/clavicle) is practicing Wednesday, Coley Harvey of ESPN.com reports. Impact: We suspect that the Bengals will list Bernard as a limited participant, but his presence on the field Wednesday -- in any capacity -- bodes well for his chances of suiting up Sunday against the Texans. Rookie Jeremy Hill has performed well in Bernard's absence, so it will be interesting to see how the carries are distributed once Bernard does indeed return.(RotoWire, )

News: Though coach Marvin Lewis hinted at optimism that Bernard (hip/clavicle) would be able to practice this week, Coley Harvey of ESPN.com relays that Lewis added a "we'll see" on that front. Impact: Previous reports suggested that Bernard is a candidate to return to action this week, but for now, such an outcome presumes his ability to practice in the coming days without any setbacks. There will be more on his status no later than Wednesday, when the Bengals' first practice participation/injury report of the week is released.(RotoWire, )
Mon. Nov 17, 2014
News: The Bengals' official site suggests that Bernard (hip/clavicle) is a candidate to return to action this coming Sunday against the Texans. Impact: Such an outcome would be supported by the running back returning to practice this week, though we suspect that given how well fellow RB Jeremy Hill has responded when seeing a heavy workload of late, Bernard could well be eased back into the Bengals' backfield mix in some form of timeshare upon his potential return.(RotoWire, )
Nov 16, 2014
News: Coley Harvey of ESPN.com relays that Bernard (hip/clavicle, inactive) was moving and cutting well, as he got some work in prior to Sunday's game against the Saints. Impact: While Bernard won't play this Sunday, leading to another start at running back for Jeremy Hill, he does seem to be progressing, based on the report, which bodes well for his chances of returning to practice next week, with an eye toward a possible Week 12 return.(RotoWire, )
Fri. Nov 14, 2014
News: Bernard (hip/clavicle) has been ruled of for Sunday's game against the Saints, Coley Harvey of ESPN.com reports. Impact: Given that Bernard did not practice all week, the designation is no surprise, with the running back's continued absence setting the stage for Jeremy Hill to head the Bengals' Week 11 backfield.(RotoWire, )
Fri. Nov 14, 2014
News: Bernard (hip/clavicle) did not practice Friday, Coley Harvey of ESPN.com reports. Impact: Bernard did not practice at all this week, so it's likely he will sit out Sunday as expected. The Bengals will provide an update on Bernard's status when they release Friday's injury report.(RotoWire, )
Thu. Nov 13, 2014
News: Bernard (hip/clavicle) did not practice Thursday, ESPN's Coley Harvey reports. Impact: While Bernard hasn't been officially ruled out for Sunday's game against the Saints, both Harvey and NFL.com suggest that the running back is likely to miss the contest. If that's the case, Jeremy Hill would be in line to head the Bengals' Week 11 backfield.(RotoWire, )
Wed. Nov 12, 2014
News: The Bengals expect to be without Bernard (hip/clavicle) Sunday against the Saints, according to NFL.com. Impact: Assuming Bernard sits this weekend, the report suggests that the hope is that he will return to action in Week 12 against the Texans. Barring an upturn in Bernard's prospects, it looks like Jeremy Hill is on track to head the Bengals' backfield Sunday.(RotoWire, )
Wed. Nov 12, 2014
News: Bernard (hip/clavicle) won't practice Wednesday, according to Geoff Hobson of Bengals.com. Impact: While things could look up for Bernard as the week progresses, his absence from practice Wednesday is not a positive indicator with regard to his status for Sunday's game against the Saints. If Bernard is unable to return to action this weekend, Jeremy Hill would once again be on track to see an expanded role in the Bengals' backfield in Week 11.(RotoWire, )
Wed. Nov 5, 2014
News: Bernard was active Sunday after missing the past three games with an injured shoulder and hip. Impact: He missed three games with a sore shoulder and hip.(STATS, 4:58pm)
