News: Brees was 32 of 44 for a season-high 340 yards with two TDs and one interception in Sunday's loss to Dallas. Impact: The Saints continue to struggle, but Brees shouldn't shoulder much of the blame. He owns a 99.5 quarterback rating through four games and is completing 71.4 percent of his passes.(STATS, 1:15pm)

News: Brees completed 32-of-44 passes for 340 yards, with two touchdowns and an interception in Sunday's 38-17 loss to the Cowboys. Impact: Brees struggled in the first half, as the Saints didn't put up any points, while their signal-caller threw an interception, albeit one that required a fantastic defensive play. Brees finally found a rhythm in the second half, but not until the score was well out of hand - though he wasn't helped by fumbles by Jimmy Graham and Travaris Cadet on the Dallas half of the field. With opponents taking away the Saints' big plays, the offense has been uncharacteristically out of sorts through the first quarter of the season. Still, there's reason to believe that the offense will get back on track. The Saints have typically performed better at home than on the road, and with three of the team's first four games on the road, Brees and co. will return to the comforts of the Superdome seven more times this year, starting with a Week 5 matchup against a leaky Tampa Bay defense.(RotoWire, )

News: Brees threw for 293 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's 20-9 win over Minnesota. Impact: Brees has been good, but hardly spectacular, through the first three games with 863 yards and five touchdowns. He figures to pick it up sooner than later.(STATS, 3:23pm)

News: Brees completed 27-of-35 passes for 293 yards and two touchdowns Sunday against the Vikings. Impact: Brees connected with eight different receivers, throwing just over half (18) of his passes to Brandin Cooks and Jimmy Graham. His 77.1 percent completion percentage was his best this season, and he didn't turn the ball over for the first time (he did fumble, but the Saints recovered). Brees is still looking for his breakout performance this season, as opposing defenses have done a nice job limiting the Saints' big plays downfield, but the big gains could finally be on the horizon in Week 4 against the Cowboys, who allowed 327 passing yards and three touchdowns to Austin Davis in Week 3.(RotoWire, )

News: Brees moved into fourth place on the NFL's career yardage list Sunday, surpassing Hall of Famer John Elway, but the Saints fell to 0-2 with a 26-24 loss in Cleveland. Impact: Brees entered Sunday's game needing 62 yards to go past Elway, who finished with 51,475 yards. Brees overtook the Denver Broncos legend with a 6-yard pass to tight end Jimmy Graham with 1:56 left in the second quarter. He had two touchdowns to Graham in the defeat and went 27 of 40 for 237 yards, giving him 51,651 for his career.(STATS, 1:47pm)
