News: The Dolphins have re-signed Thomas, Omar Kelly of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reports. Impact: With Knowshon Moreno out with a dislocated elbow and Lamar Miller dealing with an ankle issue, Thomas will add needed depth and experience to the Dolphins' backfield, which also includes Damien Williams and Orleans Darkwa. How much action Thomas might see out of the gate figures to hinge on Miller's status, but in terms of knowledge of the Dolphins' offense, Thomas is essentially a plug-and-play option.(RotoWire, )

News: Thomas was one of four players that the Patriots had in for a workout on Monday, ESPN.com reports. Impact: We suspect that the Patriots are simply keeping the players in mind in case injuries hit, with no signings reported to be imminent. In any case, Thomas is still looking for NFL work after being released by the Dolphins in advance of Week 1.(RotoWire, )
