News: The Texans have signed Manning, NFL.com reports. Impact: Manning, who was limited to 24 tackles and a sack in six games for the Texans in 2013 due to a knee injury, returns to Houston after a stint on the Bengals' roster. News: The Houston Texans are welcoming back safety Danieal Manning. Impact: Manning was a second-round pick by Chicago in 2006 and played his first five seasons with the Bears. He was signed along with cornerback Johnathan Joseph in 2011 to provide leadership to a secondary that was part of the league's worst pass defense the previous season. Manning made 124 tackles and intercepted four passes in his previous three seasons in Houston.(STATS, 9:31pm)
