News: Hayden (foot) will begin the regular season on the Raiders' PUP list, NFL.com reports. Impact: Hayden appeared destined for this roster move, since a bevy of injuries have hampered his progress throughout the offseason. Following an eight-game rookie season, Hayden sprained his ankle this summer and underwent surgery to repair a stress fracture in his foot just before training camp. The oft-injured cornerback is currently rehabbing his foot, but the Raiders want to ensure their 2013 first-rounder is fully healthy once he's activated. With that goal, Oakland will keep Hayden sidelined for the first six games of this season before he becomes eligible to join the team in practice. Until that happens, offseason signings Tarell Brown and Carlos Rodgers will comprise the Raiders' starting cornerback duo.(RotoWire, )

News: Oakland Raiders coach Dennis Allen said Tuesday the team will decide by next week whether cornerback DJ Hayden is healthy enough to start the season on the active roster or if he will go on the physically unable to perform list. Impact: Hayden is recovering from surgery in June on a stress fracture in his right foot and has been unable to practice this summer. He has done limited running on the side and is making progress. But time is running out if he wants to play to start the season.(STATS, 00:29am)

News: Hayden (foot) appears poised to begin this season on the PUP list, which would force him to miss Oakland's first six games, NFL.com reports. Impact: Hayden's brief NFL career has been marred by injuries. Following abdomen surgery, as well as hamstring and groin problems during his rookie season, Hayden sprained his ankle this offseason and needed surgery to repair a stress fracture in his foot just before training camp. As such, Hayden played only eight games last season and will begin his second year on the Raiders' PUP list. Although the 2013 12th overall pick has increased his workout activity of late, it sounds like Oakland is comfortable easing him back to action to ensure he's finally completely functional once he returns. If Hayden misses the start of the season, Tarell Brown and Carlos Rodgers would be the Raiders' starting cornerback duo.(RotoWire, )

News: Hayden (foot) is increasing his workout activity and appears to be moving well following July surgery to repair a stress fracture, the San Francisco Chronicle reports. Impact: Hayden played only eight games as a rookie last year and not only sprained his ankle over the summer but also needed foot surgery just before training camp started. As such, the former 12th overall pick has been sidelined and limited to work with the Raiders' trainers thus far. With coach Dennis Allen previously expecting to have Hayden back by the end of the preseason, news of the cornerback moving and cutting well on his foot is encouraging. Nonetheless, Hayden remains on Oakland's PUP list and hasn't been cleared to return to action, leaving Tarell Brown to start opposite Carlos Rogers at cornerback.(RotoWire, )
