News: Jeffery (hamstring) and Brandon Marshall both participated in a limited fashion at practice Saturday and are officially listed as questionable for Monday night's game against the Jets, ESPN.com reports. Impact: The report suggests that both wideouts are expected to play Monday, a notion echoed by the Chicago Tribune. While the late kickoff this week is less than optimal for those who roster Jeffery or Marshall, it appears as though the duo are likely to continue to tough it out Monday, as they did in Week 2, barring any setbacks.(RotoWire, )

News: Jeffery (hamstring) is listed as questionable for Monday's game against the Jets, the Chicago Tribune's Dan Wiederer reports. Impact: He will join Brandon Marshall as questionable to play Monday, but of course last week when both wide receivers were questionable, they both ended up playing against the 49ers. Through two games, Jeffery has eight catches for 118 yards and no scores, so he's less of a must-start than Marshall. Given the fact that it's the last game of the week, owners will once again be forced to make a tough decision about what to do with Jeffery in advance of the matchup against the Jets.(RotoWire, )

News: Jeffery is listed as questionable for Monday night's game against the New York Jets. Impact: A hamstring injury didn't keep Jeffery out of last week's win against the 49ers, though he wasn't much of a fantasy factor with three catches for 47 yards.(STATS, 6:12pm)

News: Jeffery (hamstring) was a limited practice participant Friday. Impact: Considering he suited up in Sunday's game against the 49ers and has two limited practices logged heading into Saturday, Jeffery appears likely to suit up against the Jets on Monday. He's still looking for his first touchdown of the year after catching eight passes for 118 yards.(RotoWire, )

News: Jeffery (hamstring) was limited in practice Thursday, Rich Campbell of the Chicago Tribune reports. Impact: Last week, Jeffery failed to practice both Wednesday and Thursday, before returning in a limited capacity Friday, so his health seems more advanced one week later. Meanwhile, Brandon Marshall (ankle) sat out yet again, but with an additional day to prepare for Monday's contest versus the Jets in New York, the duo will likely take the field in Week 3. Expect Jeffery's availability to become clear by the time Saturday's injury report emerges.(RotoWire, )

News: Jeffery (hamstring) caught three passes for 47 yards on six targets in Sunday's 28-20 win over the 49ers. Impact: Jeffery looked a bit more hobbled than teammate Brandon Marshall (ankle), who posted a 5-48-3 receiving line on eight targets. Jeffery essentially seemed unable to make sharp cuts or any quick movements, but he did run down the field pretty fast once he got going. Clearly not his usual self, Jeffery still used his size and wits to make a few key catches. He'll likely be in better shape for next Monday's road game against the Jets, but his practice participation is still worth keeping a close eye on.(RotoWire, )

News: Jeffery (hamstring) is active for Sunday's game against the 49ers, the 49ers' official twitter account reports. Impact: As is Brandon Marshall (ankle), though it seems likely that both wide receivers will be playing at something less than 100 percent. Still, even banged up in a tricky matchup, Jeffery and Marshall both offer tantalizing upside.(RotoWire, )

News: Jeffery (hamstring) is expected to be active for Sunday's game against the 49ers, ESPN's Michael Wright reports. Impact: ESPN's Adam Schefter sounds a bit more certain about Brandon Marshall (ankle), but it's looking like both of the Bears' starting wideouts will play. Still, fantasy owners of either player would be wise to check back around 90 minutes before the opening kickoff to ensure that the wide receivers are active.(RotoWire, )
Sep 14, 2014
News: In advance of Sunday night's game against the 49ers, ESPN's Adam Schefter suggests that there are major questions with regard to the status of both Jeffery (hamstring, questionable) and Brandon Marshall (ankle, questionable). Impact: With that in mind, the Bears promoted fellow wideouts Josh Bellamy and Chris Williams from their practice squad, with Santonio Holmes next in line for snaps should one, or both of the Bears' top wideouts not suit up Sunday night. Both Marshall (who did not practice Friday) and Jeffery (who was limited at practice Friday) thus appear to shape up as game-time decisions, a notion supported by Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune. This is a tricky scenario for fantasy owners, given the team's 8:30 ET kickoff Sunday.(RotoWire, )

News: Jeffery practiced Friday for the first time this week, but is questionable for Sunday's game with San Francisco with a pulled hamstring. Impact: Jeffery had left Sunday's 23-20 loss to Buffalo shortly after the second half began. "I feel pretty good," he said after Friday's practice. "I mean, practice and the game are different. We'll see how I feel."(STATS, 6:16pm)

News: Jeffery (hamstring) was a limited practice participant Friday and is questionable for Sunday's game against San Francisco, ESPN Chicago's Jeff Dickerson reports. Impact: It's encouraging that Jeffery was able to log a limited practice Friday, but he still seems legitimately questionable for Sunday's game. Most of his owners will probably want to cross their fingers and go into Sunday night with Jeffery in their lineups, but they would ideally have a backup option like Santonio Holmes or another viable player in the Sunday or Monday night games. Brandon Marshall (ankle) is also questionable for Sunday, though he didn't practice at all Friday.(RotoWire, )

News: Jeffery (hamstring) didn't take part in Thursday's practice, CSN Bay Area reports. Impact: Both Jeffery and Brandon Marshall (ankle) were absent for a second practice in a row. There is an expectation that Marshall will test out his sprained right ankle, according to Rich Campbell of the Chicago Tribune, but no such statement has been uttered about Jeffery. Nevertheless, Jeffery's status could be clarified by the release of Friday's injury report.(RotoWire, )

News: Jeffery (hamstring) didn't partake in the portion of Thursday's practice open to the media, Rich Campbell of the Chicago Tribune reports. Impact: Jeffery missed the fourth quarter and overtime of the Bears' Week 1 loss to the Bills after suffering a hamstring injury, which continues to hinder his activity level. His status should be watched closely as Sunday's game in San Francisco draws closer.(RotoWire, )
Wed. Sep 10, 2014
News: Jeffery didn't practice Wednesday due to an injured hamstring, Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune reports. Impact: After sustaining the ailment during Sunday's defeat to the Bills, Jeffery didn't play the fourth quarter and overtime. Coach Marc Trestman stated afterward that Jeffery was "prepared" to enter the game at times, which was substantiated by the wide receiver's lack of a limp in the locker room. Although Jeffery's absence may be a precautionary measure, keep an eye on his status as preparation for Week 2 at San Francisco continues.(RotoWire, )
Sep 7, 2014
News: Jeffery left Sunday's game versus the Bills with a hamstring injury and is considered probable to return. Impact: Jeffery caught five passes on six targets for 71 yards prior to exiting Sunday's contest. Although he's listed as probable to return, Jeffery has been standing on the Bears' sideline without a helmet for some time since being injured. If he remains out, Santonio Holmes and Josh Morgan figure to continue to see increased involvement for the remainder of Sunday's tightly contested game.(RotoWire, )

News: Jeffery was unable to play in the fourth quarter and overtime of Sunday's game against the Bills due to a hamstring injury, but head coach Marc Trestman said after the game that he does not think it is serious, according to ESPN.com. "Alshon was prepared to go in there at specific times. I'll just leave it at that," Trestman said. Impact: Jeffery was reportedly walking without a limp after the game, but Trestman admitted that he did not know the full extent of his injury. Jeffery finished with five catches on six targets for 71 yards, although 44 of those yards came on a single play. As long as the injury isn't serious, he will remain a solid fantasy play in most leagues as part of a dynamic wideout duo with Brandon Marshall, who had eight catches on 12 targets for 71 yards and a touchdown Sunday.(RotoWire, )
