News: Wayne (elbow) did not practice Wednesday, Stephen Holder of the Indianapolis Star reports. Impact: Meanwhile, Holder relays that coach Chuck Pagano is calling Wayne day-to-day, though the report encouragingly suggests that the wideout's MRI didn't reveal a significant injury. That said, Pagano didn't commit to Wayne practicing later this week, thus clouding the receiver's availability for Sunday's game against the Steelers.(RotoWire, )

News: Wayne could miss a game or two due to the elbow injury he suffered in Sunday's game versus the Bengals, Mike Chappell of RTV6 Indianapolis reports. Impact: Wayne underwent an MRI on his injured elbow Monday and although those results have not been released yet, the veteran's ailment is not considered serious. Nonetheless, reports suggest Wayne may be sidelined for a game or two because of his banged-up elbow. After falling on his left arm during the first quarter of Sunday's game, Wayne went on to finish with just four catches for 15 yards and two dropped passes. Should Wayne indeed miss some time, Hakeem Nicks and rookie Donte Moncrief figure to fill expanded roles alongside explosive receiver T.Y. Hilton.(RotoWire, )

News: Wayne hurt his left elbow after falling awkwardly on it in Sunday's win over the Bengals and had it in a bandage after the game. "I'm good right now," he told the Indianapolis Star. "Just kind of fell on it. I'll go home, have an adult beverage and see how it feels in the morning." Impact: Wayne downplayed the injury and didn't miss any playing time, but it's something to monitor in practice this week. He had just four receptions for 15 yards in Sunday's win, but was targeted eight times - second most on the team.(RotoWire, )

News: Wayne caught 4-of-9 targets for 35 yards in Thursday's 33-28 win over the Texans. Impact: Wayne had an 18-yard catch overturned in the fourth quarter, as he and T.Y. Hilton had drastically different nights, despite tying for the team-high in targets. The two wideouts have been the clear top two options in the potent Indianapolis passing game, but each has only caught one of Andrew Luck's 17 touchdowns. While it does seem that the Colts favor their tight ends and RB Ahmad Bradshaw in the red zone, Wayne and Hilton should eventually find the touchdowns a bit easier to come by. Hilton leads the team at 59 targets, with Wayne (54) a close second and Hakeem Nicks (31) a distant third.(RotoWire, )

Wayne also extended his NFL record of consecutive games with three or more receptions to 76. And Wayne may not be done.
