News: Johnson expects his ankle condition to improve throughout this week, NFL.com reports. Impact: Johnson was held to a season-low 37 snaps Sunday against the Jets, when he accounted for just two catches for 12 total yards. While that lack of production certainly is not what owners have come to expect from Johnson, the star wideout's ankle condition is said to be improving, and any additional rest should benefit him as well. With Johnson and the Lions expected to continue their conservative approach toward his sprained ankle, his progress should be monitored leading up to Sunday's game versus the Bills.(RotoWire, )

News: Johnson, who had two catches on two targets for 16 yards Sunday against the Jets, laughed at the suggestion that he was playing at 90 percent despite an ankle injury, ESPN.com reports. Impact: Head coach Jim Caldwell was the one who indicated Johnson was at 90 percent, with the wideout confirming after the game that he was much more limited than that. The injury was bad enough that Johnson rarely played two snaps in a row, and he was walking with a noticeable limp after the game. He will likely be very limited in practice next week, putting his availability for Week 5 against the Bills in question, if he doesn't improve over the coming days.(RotoWire, )

News: Johnson (ankle) will be active for Sunday's game against the Jets, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports. Impact: Johnson was listed as questionable for Sunday's game, but he will be able to take the field as he usually does. He currently sits fourth in the NFL with 329 receiving yards and will be looking for his first touchdown since Week 1.(RotoWire, )

News: Johnson (ankle) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Jets. Impact: Johnson's practice appearance Friday was just a limited practice, and it was his only practice showing this week. He seems to have a good chance to play Sunday -- he has a history of playing without much practice -- but his owners should definitely check back prior to Detroit's early kickoff.(RotoWire, )

News: Johnson (ankle) took part in Friday's practice, Tim Twentyman of the Lions' official website reports. Impact: It's not clear how much work Johnson was able to get in Friday, but his participation alone is a positive sign after he sat out the previous two days. Expect an update on Johnson's status when the Lions release their final injury report of the week Friday afternoon.(RotoWire, )

News: Johnson (ankle) missed practice again on Thursday, ESPN.com reports. Impact: Per mlive.com, Johnson says that he hopes to play Sunday against the Jets, but his absence from practice two straight days makes his Week 4 situation worth closely monitoring. What Johnson does -- or doesn't do -- at practice Friday will be telling with regard to his prospects of suiting up for Sunday's 1:00 ET kickoff. For his part, coach Jim Caldwell acknowledged, "anytime that someone doesn't practice, and in particular when it's not just a day of rest, which we would indicate on the medical report, there's always some concern (he won't play)."(RotoWire, )

News: Johnson (ankle) didn't participate in practice Wednesday, Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press reports. Impact: Through seven-plus years in the NFL, Johnson has averaged nearly one absence per season, as he's been deemed inactive on six occasions. However, his DNP at Wednesday's practice may have been a precautionary measure, meaning owners may have to wait out the week in order to learn his potential to take the field Sunday against the Jets at New York.(RotoWire, )

News: Johnson had another disappointing showing - by his lofty fantasy standards - with six catches for 82 yards Sunday against Green Bay. Impact: The fact that Johnson's last two games have widely been considered disappointing despite a combined 12 catches for 165 yards show how absurdly expectations have grown for Megatron. He'll next face a Jets team that will be coming off a short week following Monday Night Football.(STATS, 5:26pm)

News: Johnson caught six passes on 10 targets for 82 yards in Sunday's 19-7 win over the Packers. Impact: After catching seven passes for 164 yards and two touchdowns in Week 1, Johnson has caught 12 passes for 165 yards with no touchdowns in the last two weeks combined. Nevertheless, he remains an elite fantasy wideout with a very promising Week 4 matchup against a Jets defense that is excellent against the run, but really struggles against the pass.(RotoWire, )
