News: Williams (ankle) is officially listed as questionable for Sunday's game against Carolina, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel's Tyler Dunne reports. Impact: ESPN's Adam Schefter reported earlier in the day that Williams will be a game-time decision, and this injury designation seems to confirm that report. The Packers have already ruled Sam Shields (knee) out, and losing Williams as well could mean big things for Cam Newton and Kelvin Benjamin (concussion), assuming Benjamin is cleared to play. On the plus side, however, coach Mike McCarthy said Williams felt better Friday than he did Thursday.(RotoWire, )

News: Williams (ankle) didn't participate in practice Wednesday, Paul Imig of FOX Sports Wisconsin reports. Speaking of his injured cornerbacks, coach Mike McCarthy said, "Sam Shields, Tramon Williams...we'll give them every opportunity to get ready. Tramon is closer than Sam." Impact: McCarthy's quote confirms the belief that Williams' ankle injury isn't serious, but owners will want to watch his status as the week rolls along to ensure that he's available Sunday against the Panthers. He's so far put together a nice IDP line, with 32 tackles (26 solo), six passes defended, and one interception in six games.(RotoWire, )
