News: Jones-Drew (hand) had two carries for one rushing yard and two catches on two targets for two receiving yards Sunday against the Dolphins. Impact: Jones-Drew was the starter in Week 1, but missed the last two games with a hand injury. His return to the field did not mean a return to the lead running back position, as Darren McFadden finished with 11 carries for 40 rushing yards and four catches for 32 receiving yards. The Raiders are on bye in Week 5, and it's certainly possible that the two could share the workload when they return in Week 6 against the Chargers.(RotoWire, )

News: Jones-Drew (hand) is listed as active for Sunday's game against the Dolphins. Impact: While Jones-Drew is back in action Sunday, what his workload might be remains to be seen, given that coach Dennis Allen indicated that Darren McFadden would be in line to start Sunday's game based on the work he has been able to put in over the past two weeks while Jones-Drew was hurting. While a time-share could develop as Sunday's game progresses, Jones-Drew is not a high-percentage play until he re-establishes his position in the Oakland backfield.(RotoWire, )

News: Jones-Drew participated fully in practice Friday and is listed as probable for Sunday's game against the Dolphins, Bay Area News Group reports. Impact: It looks like we'll see Jones-Drew back in Week 4, though what his his workload might be remains to be seen, given that coach Dennis Allen suggested that Darren McFadden would likely remain the team's primary back Sunday based on the work he has been able to put in over the past two weeks while Jones-Drew was banged up. A timeshare of some form seems likely.(RotoWire, )

News: Jones-Drew (hand) practiced fully Thursday, Bill Williamson of ESPN.com reports. Impact: Jones-Drew, for the first time since Week 1, was able to get in a full practice session, which puts him on track to play in Sunday's game against the Dolphins. The Raiders have not said how the backfield work will be distributed with Jones-Drew back, but he opened the year as the starting running back and seems likely reclaim that role if he is active Sunday.(RotoWire, )

News: Jones-Drew (hand) was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice. Impact: Jones-Drew said earlier in the day that he expects to suit up for the team's Week 4 matchup against the Dolphins, saying "It's not up to me but I feel like I'll be able to play." Despite logging a pair of limited practices last week, Jones-Drew was held out of the team's loss to the Patriots, but he appears on track to return from his two-game absence Sunday, so long as he avoids a setback with the surgically-repaired hand. If he does get the green light from the training staff, Jones-Drew should see the majority of the touches against Miami's 20th ranked run defense, though Darren McFadden will likely remain involved.(RotoWire, )

News: Jones-Drew (hand) expects to play in Sunday's game against the Dolphins, NFL.com reports. Impact: Jones-Drew has missed Oakland's past two games after undergoing hand surgery, but returned to practice last week and asserts he's now ready for game action. At the moment, the Raiders rank second-last in rushing with merely 64.3 yards per contest, so having Jones-Drew available would certainly be a welcome addition. Should Jones-Drew indeed suit up for Sunday's game in London, he would likely share carries with Darren McFadden, as the Raiders seek their first win of this season.(RotoWire, )

News: Jones-Drew (hand) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Patriots.   Impact: With Jones-Drew still out, look for Darren McFadden and perhaps Latavius Murray and fullback Marcel Reece, to a lesser degree, to handle the Raiders' Week 3 rushing attack.(RotoWire, )

News: The Raiders don't expect to have Jones-Drew (hand) for Sunday's game against the Patriots, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports. Impact: We'll confirm Jones-Drew's status one way or the other in advance of Sunday's 1:00 ET kickoff, but based on Rapoport's report, it looks like Darren McFadden is in line to head the Raiders' Week 3 ground game, with Latavius Murray and fullback Marcel Reece also on hand.(RotoWire, )

News: Jones-Drew (hand) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Patriots after practicing in a limited fashion both Thursday and Friday, the Raiders' official site reports. Impact: Coach Dennis Allen noted Friday that Jones-Drew "did a good job in practice today," though the running back's questionable designation suggests that his status will still need to be tracked in advance of Sunday's 1:00 ET kickoff. If he does suit up this weekend, Jones-Drew would represent a speculative play though, with Darren McFadden a candidate to remain part of the team's Week 3 rushing attack, along with Latavius Murray, to a lesser degree.(RotoWire, )

News: Jones-Drew (hand) returned to practice Thursday, CSNBayArea.com reports. Impact: Sporting extra protection on his surgically-repaired right hand, Jones-Drew took part in individual drills during the portion of practice open the media Thursday. The activity represents Jones-Drew's first of any kind in practice since undergoing the procedure back on Sept. 8. Look for the team to provide clarification on his participation level later in the day, but Jones-Drew's ability to practice, even on a limited basis, bodes well for his chances of suiting up this Sunday against New England. If he plays, Jones-Drew should carry the load for Oakland, despite totaling just 11 yards on nine carries in the regular season opener.(RotoWire, )

News: Jones-Drew (hand) did not practice Wednesday, but said he's doing everything he can to be able to play Sunday against the Patriots, Vic Tafur of the San Francisco Chronicle reports. Impact: Jones-Drew underwent a procedure on his hand last Monday and missed the team's Week 2 matchup against Houston as a result, and although he wasn't able to practice Wednesday, it sounds like he's holding out hope he can play Sunday against New England. The team will, of course, have the final say, and if Jones-Drew isn't able to get in at least one limited practice before the end of the week, Darren McFadden will likely be tasked with once again heading the Raiders' rushing attack.(RotoWire, )

News: Oakland Raiders coach Dennis Allen remains hopeful that Jones-Drew will be able to play in Sunday's home opener against the Houston Texans. Impact: Jones-Drew has not practiced this week and remains listed as questionable on the team's injury report. The veteran running back has been bothered by a right hand injury he aggravated in last week's loss to the New York Jets. (STATS, 6:26pm)
