News: Whitehurst completed 12-of-23 passes for 177 yards with one touchdown and one interception Sunday against the Colts. He also added 40 rushing yards on five carries. Impact: Whitehurt played in place of the injured Jake Locker (wrist), but didn't do much in his first start since the 2011 season. He connected with five different receivers, including tight end Delanie Walker five times for 84 yards and a touchdown. The Titans' receivers dropped a number of passes, which certainly didn't help Whitehurst, but he's not a skilled quarterback to begin with. It's unclear just how close Locker was to starting Sunday, but if he can't go next week, Whitehurst will get the Week 5 start against the Browns, who are giving up the sixth-most passing yards per game this season.(RotoWire, )

News: Whitehurst's teammate, Jake Locker, is dealing with a wrist injury, the Tennessean reports. Impact: Locker missed Wednesday's practice because of his wrist strain and if he is unable to go Sunday against the Colts, Whitehurst -- who hasn't thrown a pass in an NFL regular-season game since 2011 -- would be in line to start at QB for the Titans in his place.(RotoWire, )
