News: Brown may have settled between John Brown and Ted Ginn as the Cardinals' No. 4 wideout, the team's official site reports. Impact: John Brown, the rookie, has impressed enough to earn the third wide receiver job, but Ginn has gathered in just one catch in the preseason, opening the door for Jaron Brown to move up the depth chart. Meanwhile, through three games, Jaron has racked up five receptions (on seven targets) for 110 yards and one touchdown. His two receptions in the second contest -- 51 yards after a screen pass and 35 yards on a deep throw -- showed off his big-play ability and likely endeared him to offensive mastermind Bruce Arians.(RotoWire, )

News: Brown earned all 26 snaps during the first half of Saturday's preseason defeat in Minnesota, FOX Sports 910 Phoenix reports. Impact: Targeted four times, Brown compiled two significant plays, including a 51-yard scamper on a screen pass and a 35-yard reception via a deep throw. Although the absence of Michael Floyd (groin) opened up reps for the Cardinals' periphery receivers, the performance all but assured the undrafted second-year player a roster spot to begin the season. With two preseason tilts remaining, Brown will continue to fend off young wideouts Walter Powell and Brittan Golden.(RotoWire, )
