News: Kaepernick completed 17-of-30 passes for 218 yards with two touchdowns and an interception in Sunday's win against Philadelphia. He added 58 yards as a rusher on seven carries. Impact: Kaepernick struggled to move the ball at times through the air, but the running game was working, as Frank Gore rushed for 119 yards. Tight end Vernon Davis left with a back injury in the third quarter and did not return, which didn't help Kaepernick's numbers. It's been a mixed bag for Kaepernick so far this year, but he's too talented to sit most weeks. In Week 5 he gets the Chiefs at home, who will be coming off a short week, after playing the Patriots on Monday.(RotoWire, )

News: Kaepernick was a dual threat in Sunday's loss to Arizona, completing 29 of 37 passes for 245 yards and a touchdown while also running 13 times for 54 yards. Impact: It was a nice bounce-back performance for Kaepernick after throwing three interceptions in last week's collapse against Chicago.(STATS, 5:35pm)

News: Kaepernick (back) completed 29-of-37 pass attempts for 245 yards and a touchdown. He also carried the ball 13 times for 54 yards in the loss to Arizona on Sunday. Impact: Despite the uncharacteristic 37 pass attempts and 13 rush attempts, Kaepernick's yardage and touchdown totals were rather pedestrian, against a tough Cardinals' defense. He didn't turn the ball over once Sunday, after giving it up four times last week against Chicago, but he also seemed a little gun-shy with his pass attempts (6.62 YPA). Through three games, the results from Kaepernick have been mixed. His rushing attempts have increased on a weekly basis, which is a positive for his fantasy value going forward. But only contributing four touchdowns through three games is worrisome for those who own him in one-quarterback leagues. There is no doubt Kaepernick is a talented quarterback, but how he is used on the field seems to change on a weekly basis, which could make him a frustrating player to rely on week-to-week. Next week should provide a great opportunity to showcase his skills, when San Francisco takes on a Philadelphia defense that just gave up 34 points and 511 yards to Washington.(RotoWire, )

News: Kaepernick (back) is listed as active for Sunday's game against Arizona.     Impact: As expected, Kaepernick is available, but he'll be working without the services of tight ends Vernon Davis and Vance McDonald on Sunday.(RotoWire, )

News: Kaepernick (back) is probable for Sunday's game against Arizona, CSN Bay Area reports. Impact: Kaepernick practiced all week, so his health isn't an issue heading into the matchup with Arizona. The health of tight end Vernon Davis (ankle/knee) is less certain, however, as the star pass catcher sat out practice all week. If Kaepernick is without Davis, he'll be without his top red-zone target.(RotoWire, )

News: Kaepernick (back) practiced in full Thursday, FOX Sports 910 Phoenix reports. Impact: Kaepernick hasn't missed a start since taking over for Alex Smith in the latter half of the 2012 season, and his activity level Thursday shouldn't threaten his availability heading into Sunday's game in Arizona. In three career nods against the Cardinals, he's completed 53-of-91 passes (58.2 percent) for 838 yards with six touchdowns and one interception en route to a 3-0 record.(RotoWire, )

News: Kaepernick says he has been fined more than $11,000 by the NFL and he will appeal the penalty for what was called "inappropriate language" by the 49ers quarterback following a fourth-quarter interception in Sunday's 28-20 loss to the Bears. Impact: Kaepernick reiterated Wednesday, "I didn't say anything" when he and Lamarr Houston went at it - and Kaepernick points to Houston's comments that the quarterback didn't say anything offensive or out of line. Side judge Laird Hayes threw the flag for unsportsmanlike conduct. In the letter from the league informing him of the fine, Kaepernick said there was no explanation as to what Hayes claims the quarterback said.(STATS, 3:34pm)

News: Kaepernick had one of his worst NFL games in Sunday's loss to Chicago. Impact: He went 21 of 34 for 248 yards and a touchdown, but he also had three interceptions and lost a fumble as the 49ers blew a lead in the opener of their new building. His only other three-INT game came on Sept. 15, 2013 against Seattle. After a slow start last year, his fantasy production increased quite a bit. Stick with him.(STATS, 5:38pm)
