News: Kaepernick completed 24-of-39 passes for 263 yards, with a touchdown and an interception in Sunday's 42-17 loss to the Broncos. He added 18 yards on three carries. Impact: Kaepernick kept his team in the game with an excellent second quarter, but his ugly interception after halftime contributed to the 49ers getting outscored 21-0 in the third quarter. He padded his stats with a long drive in garbage time that didn't result in points, but it was Blaine Gabbert who led the 49ers to a meaningless fourth-quarter touchdown on the team's final possession. The unstoppable Denver offense forced the 49ers to go pass-heavy, and the Broncos' pass-rushing duo of Von Miller and DeMarcus Ware hassled Kaepernick all night. Though he's been inconsistent even in favorable matchups this season, Kaepernick should find a Week 9 tilt with the Rams more to his liking, after the 49ers have a bye week.(RotoWire, )

News: Kaepernick completed 22-of-36 passes for 343 yards and three touchdowns in Monday's 31-17 win over the Rams, adding 37 yards on three carries. Impact: Kaepernick and the San Francisco offense were having a mediocre game, until WR Brandon Lloyd burned Rams CB Janoris Jenkins for an 80-yard touchdown with 14 seconds remaining before halftime. The San Francisco running game never got going outside of Kaepernick's three carries, but the passing game was solid in the second half. Kaepernick nearly had a fourth touchdown in the fourth quarter, when tight ends Vernon Davis and Vance McDonald collided with each other while trying to make a wide-open catch in the end zone. Next week, Kaepernick draws a tough Sunday night road matchup in Denver.(RotoWire, )

News: Kaepernick says he has been fined $10,000 by the NFL for the pink headphones he wore around his neck postgame Sunday that are made by the brand "Beats by Dre." Impact: While Kaepernick has an endorsement deal with Beats and has done a commercial, the league's contract is with Bose. Apparently wearing the pink version for October breast cancer awareness month, Kaepernick knew he could be subject to a fine after a 22-17 win Sunday at Levi's Stadium.(STATS, 3:18pm)

News: Kaepernick completed 14-of-26 passes for 201 yards with a touchdown in Sunday's 22-17 win over Kansas City. He was sacked three times and ran for 18 yards on 10 carries. Impact: Frank Gore and Carlos Hyde combined to run the ball 28 times for 150 yards, so Kaepernick didn't air it out much. He did hook up with Brandon Lloyd on a couple of nice deep throws, including a 29-yard pass in which Lloyd beautifully adjusted to the ball in the air. The dynamic quarterback has been productive this year as a runner, as one might assume, but he still hasn't passed for more than 250 yards in a game. Next week, he'll travel to St. Louis, a team that he has played well against in four career starts, although the Rams have defended the pass well in 2014.(RotoWire, )
