News: The Raiders will sign Allen, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports.
Impact: Allen, who finished the 2014 season with 62 tackles and four interceptions in 15 games for the Eagles, is thus in line to start at strong safety for the Raiders, who previously parted ways with Tyvon Branch this offseason.

News: The Oakland Raiders have signed Allen in free agency to fill the hole created when former starter Tyvon Branch was released.
Impact: The Raiders are counting on Allen to replace Branch as the starting strong safety alongside Charles Woodson. Allen had 10 interceptions, 28 passes defensed, four sacks, three forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries in 74 games with the Eagles.
Rotowire: Jan 5 / 10:16a ET
News: Allen finished 2014 with 62 tackles (51 solo), one sack, and four interceptions in 15 games.
Impact: Allen's four interceptions might look intriguing at a glance, but he was one of the primary culprits behind a Philadelphia pass defense that reliably gave up big plays the last two years. He's a free agent and, even if he re-signs with Philadelphia, sending him to the bench figures to be one of the top goals for the Eagles this offseason.
