News: The Giants have waived Cox, Tom Rock of Newsday reports.
Impact: Cox � a seventh-round pick in 2013 � served as a depth running back and special-teamer for the Giants until he broke his leg in a contest against the Seahawks in November last season. In two seasons with the Giants, he played in 18 games, totaling 76 yards on 26 rushing attempts and 697 yards on 31 kickoff returns. At present, the Giants' RB depth chart is topped by Shane Vereen, Rashad Jennings and Andre Williams.

News: The New York Giants have waived running back Michael Cox.
Impact: Cox played two seasons with the Giants, missing the final two months of last season after breaking a leg against Seattle on Nov. 9. A seventh-round draft choice, Cox saw limited action in 18 games, rushing for 76 yards and catching five passes. His biggest contribution was as a kickoff returner, averaging 22.5 yards.
