How is your NFL team doing at the midway point? Look to find out who is standing out among the rest.

Laces Out: Midseason Awards

NFL 5 43 Who is making the grade? NFL report cards are handed out 31947195 Buffalo Bills (3-6), C- Buffalo+Bills+%283-6%29%2C+C- NFL

Defensive end Mario Williams has regained his dominant form and rookie linebacker Kiko Alonso has been a pleasant surprise. But Buffalo can’t seem to catch a break on offense. Rookie QB EJ Manuel has been shelved since Week 5 with an injury, his backup Thad Lewis is nursing a foot problem and star running back CJ Spiller is also hobbled. This team deserves credit for fighting hard despite all their problems.

Signature win: Week 4 against the Ravens

Derick E. Hingle - USA TODAY Sports http://static.foxsports.com/content/fscom/img/2013/10/29/102913-NFL-midseason-grades-TV-G4_20131029184820791_600_400.JPG http://static.foxsports.com/content/fscom/img/2013/10/29/102913-NFL-midseason-grades-TV-G4_20131029184820791_107_80.JPG
NFL 5 43 Who is making the grade? NFL report cards are handed out 31947196 New England Patriots (7-2), A- New+England+Patriots+%287-2%29%2C+A- NFL

Tom Brady is having a subpar season by his standards and the receivers didn't get the job done in the early going. But somehow this team keeps grinding out victories. Despite losing Vince Wilfork for the season, New England’s defense is still doing well and has kept the team in several games. It seems Brady and his receivers are finally building a rapport, as evidenced by their offensive explosion against the Steelers in Week 9.

Signature win: Week 6 against the Saints

Mark L. Baer - USA TODAY Sports http://static.foxsports.com/content/fscom/img/2013/10/29/102913-NFL-midseason-grades-TV-G1_20131029184821794_600_400.JPG http://static.foxsports.com/content/fscom/img/2013/10/29/102913-NFL-midseason-grades-TV-G1_20131029184821794_107_80.JPG
NFL 5 43 Who is making the grade? NFL report cards are handed out 31947198 Miami Dolphins (4-4), C Miami+Dolphins+%284-4%29%2C+C NFL

This team ripped off three straight wins to start the season and things were definitely looking up. Since then? Miami lost four straight while QB Ryan Tannehill struggled. And that defense, with all of their splashy offseason signings, has been a disappointment. The Dolphins did rebound and stop the bleeding with an overtime win over the Benglas in Week 9. But with the Richie Incognito-Jonathan Martin bullying story dominating the news, will this team keep from imploding?

Signature win: Week 2 against the Colts

Winslow Townson - USA TODAY Sports http://static.foxsports.com/content/fscom/img/2013/10/29/102913-NFL-midseason-grades-TV-G3_20131029184821793_600_400.JPG http://static.foxsports.com/content/fscom/img/2013/10/29/102913-NFL-midseason-grades-TV-G3_20131029184821793_107_80.JPG
NFL 5 43 Who is making the grade? NFL report cards are handed out 31947199 New York Jets (5-4), B- New+York+Jets+%285-4%29%2C+B- NFL

It’s been a roller-coaster ride for Gang Green, to say the least. They started the season with rookie QB Geno Smith under center and he’s done what rookies do: play unevenly. He’s looked great at times and clueless at others. However, the Jets defense has been fierce, despite an embarrassing loss to Cincinnati in Week 8. And for head coach Rex Ryan, he’s done an admirable job with a moth-eaten roster. This team has definitely outperformed their meager pre-season expectations.

Signature win: Week 9 against the Saints

Ed Mulholland - USA TODAY Sports http://static.foxsports.com/content/fscom/img/2013/10/29/102913-NFL-midseason-grades-TV-G2_20131029184821795_600_400.JPG http://static.foxsports.com/content/fscom/img/2013/10/29/102913-NFL-midseason-grades-TV-G2_20131029184821795_107_80.JPG
NFL 5 43 Who is making the grade? NFL report cards are handed out 31947197 Kansas City Chiefs (9-0), A Kansas+City+Chiefs+%289-0%29%2C+A NFL

This team has had a soft schedule through the first nine weeks of the season, but this isn’t college football. You don’t get style points. A win is a win and this team has beaten every challenge up until this point. The Chiefs are sporting the league’s top-ranked defense and although their offense isn’t blowing anyone away, they’ve kept the mistakes to a minimum. This team still has two games remaining against the high-powered Broncos, so we’ll learn how real this team is very soon. But for now, they’re at the top of the class.

Signature win: Week 2 against the Cowboys

David Welker - Getty Images http://static.foxsports.com/content/fscom/img/2013/10/29/102913-NFL-midseason-grades-TV-G5_20131029184821792_600_400.JPG http://static.foxsports.com/content/fscom/img/2013/10/29/102913-NFL-midseason-grades-TV-G5_20131029184821792_107_80.JPG
NFL 5 43 Who is making the grade? NFL report cards are handed out 31947203 Oakland Raiders (3-5), C Oakland+Raiders+%283-5%29%2C+C NFL

Does a C seem high to you? It shouldn’t. The Raiders have had a tough schedule in the early going, having played the Colts, Broncos and Chiefs. Young QB Terrelle Pryor has been a pleasant surprise as his athleticism has added a dangerous – although inconsistent – side to the Oakland offense. This team should be fun to watch develop as the season rolls on.

Signature win: Week 8 against the Steelers

Kelley L Cox - USA TODAY Sports http://static.foxsports.com/content/fscom/img/2013/10/29/102913-NFL-midseason-grades-TV-G8_20131029184948803_600_400.JPG http://static.foxsports.com/content/fscom/img/2013/10/29/102913-NFL-midseason-grades-TV-G8_20131029184948803_107_80.JPG
NFL 5 43 Who is making the grade? NFL report cards are handed out 31947201 San Diego Chargers (4-4), B- San+Diego+Chargers+%284-4%29%2C+B- NFL

People seemed to forget about the Chargers during the offseason. But they’ve made an impact, despite blowing leads and losing two of their first three games. QB Philip Rivers is enjoying a renaissance season, having thrown 17 touchdown passes. New weapons are starting to emerge (Keenan Allen, Manti Te’o, etc.) and this team looks poised to make some noise in the second half of the season.

Signature win: Week 6 against the Colts

Phil Sears - USA TODAY Sports http://static.foxsports.com/content/fscom/img/2013/10/29/102913-NFL-midseason-grades-TV-G7_20131029184948802_600_400.JPG http://static.foxsports.com/content/fscom/img/2013/10/29/102913-NFL-midseason-grades-TV-G7_20131029184948802_107_80.JPG
NFL 5 43 Who is making the grade? NFL report cards are handed out 31947200 Denver Broncos (7-1), A Denver+Broncos+%287-1%29%2C+A NFL

Peyton Manning and the Broncos offense are putting up points at an alarming rate and the defense is starting to get healthy. They did suffer one “bad” loss in Indianapolis, but you can’t count that as a true blemish. This team has several division games remaining and it’s hard to imagine that they won’t be at the top of the division by season’s end. This team sets the curve when it comes to grades.

Signature win: Week 5 against the Cowboys

Chris Humphreys - USA TODAY Sports http://static.foxsports.com/content/fscom/img/2013/10/29/102913-NFL-midseason-grades-TV-G6_20131029184948801_600_400.JPG http://static.foxsports.com/content/fscom/img/2013/10/29/102913-NFL-midseason-grades-TV-G6_20131029184948801_107_80.JPG
NFL 5 43 Who is making the grade? NFL report cards are handed out 31947208 Indianapolis Colts (6-2), A Indianapolis+Colts+%286-2%29%2C+A NFL

Many people thought this team would take a step back after reaching the playoffs in their first season with QB Andrew Luck. Well, they were wrong. The Colts have scored wins over elite teams like the Seahawks, 49ers and Broncos. They’re physical, confident and won’t back down from any challenger. They have a nice hold on first place in the AFC South and there’s no reason to doubt that they’ll be in that same spot at season’s end.

Signature win: Week 7 against the Broncos

Brian Spurlock - USA TODAY Sports http://static.foxsports.com/content/fscom/img/2013/10/29/102913-NFL-midseason-grades-TV-G13_20131029185109812_600_400.JPG http://static.foxsports.com/content/fscom/img/2013/10/29/102913-NFL-midseason-grades-TV-G13_20131029185109812_107_80.JPG
NFL 5 43 Who is making the grade? NFL report cards are handed out 31947212 Jacksonville Jaguars (0-8), F Jacksonville+Jaguars+%280-8%29%2C+F NFL

If we could give this team a lower grade, we would. The Jaguars are just awful.

Signature win: None to speak of.

Jeff Curry - USA TODAY Sports http://static.foxsports.com/content/fscom/img/2013/10/29/102913-NFL-midseason-grades-TV-G16_20131029185232825_600_400.JPG http://static.foxsports.com/content/fscom/img/2013/10/29/102913-NFL-midseason-grades-TV-G16_20131029185232825_107_80.JPG
NFL 5 43 Who is making the grade? NFL report cards are handed out 31947207 Houston Texans (2-6), D- Houston+Texans+%282-6%29%2C+D- NFL

What a disaster. It’s hard to believe that the Texans were a sexy pick to reach the Super Bowl this season. They even seemed that way when they jumped out to a 2-0 start. But the bottom has fallen out in Houston. Season-opening starting QB Matt Schaub turned into an interception machine, running back Arian Foster hasn’t been his dominant self, head coach Gary Kubiak collapsed on the field in Week 9 and far too much pressure has been placed on the team’s defense. The Texans are currently mired in a six-game losing streak and while one-time third string QB Case Keenum has played well, things look like they're going to get worse.

Signature win: Week 1 against the Chargers

Matthew Emmons - USA TODAY Sports http://static.foxsports.com/content/fscom/img/2013/10/29/102913-NFL-midseason-grades-TV-G15_20131029185109814_600_400.JPG http://static.foxsports.com/content/fscom/img/2013/10/29/102913-NFL-midseason-grades-TV-G15_20131029185109814_107_80.JPG
NFL 5 43 Who is making the grade? NFL report cards are handed out 31947205 Tennessee Titans (4-4), B- Tennessee+Titans+%284-4%29%2C+B- NFL

Consistency! The Titans haven’t been able to find that in 2013, but that could be because they lost starting QB Jake Locker for a few weeks to an injury. They’ve played good teams like the Chiefs, 49ers and Seahawks close, but that’s not good enough. This team will have to find some way to take that next step before they become more than a middling squad.

Signature win: Week 3 against the Chargers

Don McPeak - USA TODAY Sports http://static.foxsports.com/content/fscom/img/2013/10/29/102913-NFL-midseason-grades-TV-G14_20131029185109813_600_400.JPG http://static.foxsports.com/content/fscom/img/2013/10/29/102913-NFL-midseason-grades-TV-G14_20131029185109813_107_80.JPG
NFL 5 43 Who is making the grade? NFL report cards are handed out 31947209 Cleveland Browns (4-5), C+ Cleveland+Browns+%284-5%29%2C+C%2B NFL

What else can go wrong in Cleveland? The Browns started the season with Brandon Weeden at quarterback, then tried Brian Hoyer until he was lost for the season to a leg injury. They tried going back to Weeden, but after he failed, went to their third quarterback in Jason Campbell. Oh, they also traded running back Trent Richardson, last year’s first-round pick, to the Colts a few weeks into the season. That being said, this team still has a young and emerging defense and have plans to keep building through the draft under new head coach Rob Chudzinski. For the Browns to have four wins -- including one over the Ravens -- is impressive.

Signature win: Week 4 against the Bengals

Ron Schwane - USA TODAY Sports http://static.foxsports.com/content/fscom/img/2013/10/29/102913-NFL-midseason-grades-TV-G11_20131029185109811_600_400.JPG http://static.foxsports.com/content/fscom/img/2013/10/29/102913-NFL-midseason-grades-TV-G11_20131029185109811_107_80.JPG
NFL 5 43 Who is making the grade? NFL report cards are handed out 31947204 Baltimore Ravens (3-5), D+ Baltimore+Ravens+%283-5%29%2C+D%2B NFL

These are the defending champions? Eyebrows were raised throughout the football world when the team let several players walk in free agency and then handed QB Joe Flacco a giant contract. The latter hasn’t had much success this season and neither has star running back Ray Rice. They still have eight games left to play, but if things don’t improve soon, this team is in danger of missing the playoffs. Handing them a "D+" might sound rough, but we're hitting them with the defending-champs curve. They have to be better than this.

Signature win: Week 3 against the Texans

Charles LeClaire - USA TODAY Sports http://static.foxsports.com/content/fscom/img/2013/10/29/102913-NFL-midseason-grades-TV-G10_20131029184949804_600_400.JPG http://static.foxsports.com/content/fscom/img/2013/10/29/102913-NFL-midseason-grades-TV-G10_20131029184949804_107_80.JPG
NFL 5 43 Who is making the grade? NFL report cards are handed out 31947202 Cincinnati Bengals (6-3), A- Cincinnati+Bengals+%286-3%29%2C+A- NFL

You can make the argument that the Bengals are the most complete team in the league. QB Andy Dalton has a myriad of weapons at receiver, rookie running back Gio Bernard has been electric and Cincy’s defense is as hard-hitting as ever. Yet, this team somehow lost to the Dolphins in overtime in Week 9. Sitting in first place in a subpar AFC North, this team does control its own destiny. If this team can avoid a meltdown, they're right in line for their third straight playoff appearance.

Signature win: Week 5 against the Patriots

Andrew Weber - USA TODAY Sports http://static.foxsports.com/content/fscom/img/2013/10/29/102913-NFL-midseason-grades-TV-G9_20131029184949805_600_400.JPG http://static.foxsports.com/content/fscom/img/2013/10/29/102913-NFL-midseason-grades-TV-G9_20131029184949805_107_80.JPG
NFL 5 43 Who is making the grade? NFL report cards are handed out 31947206 Pittsburgh Steelers (2-6), D Pittsburgh+Steelers+%282-6%29%2C+D NFL

This isn’t your daddy’s Steelers anymore. The hard-hitting spark of years past has vanished and this team has limped to an 0-4 start. They’ve also been nailed by the injury bug along the offensive line, which is leading to QB Ben Roethlisberger taking a lot of hits. After losing to the Raiders in Week 8 and then giving up a record amount of yards to the Patriots in Week 9, it’s becoming clear that this is just a bad football team.

Signature win: Week 7 against the Ravens

Charles LeClaire - USA TODAY Sports http://static.foxsports.com/content/fscom/img/2013/10/29/102913-NFL-midseason-grades-TV-G12_20131029185109815_600_400.JPG http://static.foxsports.com/content/fscom/img/2013/10/29/102913-NFL-midseason-grades-TV-G12_20131029185109815_107_80.JPG
NFL 5 43 Who is making the grade? NFL report cards are handed out 31947210 New York Giants (2-6), D+ New+York+Giants+%282-6%29%2C+D%2B NFL

Eli Manning went through one of his worst stretches of his career early in the season. He was a turnover machine and it didn’t help that the Giants lacked a running game. After losing their first six games of the season, they’ve been able to win two straight. Can they extend the winning streak?

Signature win: Week 7 over the Minnesota Vikings

Joe Camporeale - USA TODAY Sports http://static.foxsports.com/content/fscom/img/2013/10/29/102913-NFL-midseason-grades-TV-G20_20131029185230821_600_400.JPG http://static.foxsports.com/content/fscom/img/2013/10/29/102913-NFL-midseason-grades-TV-G20_20131029185230821_107_80.JPG
NFL 5 43 Who is making the grade? NFL report cards are handed out 31947213 Dallas Cowboys (5-4), C+ Dallas+Cowboys+%285-4%29%2C+C%2B NFL

Can anyone figure this team out? Just when you think the Cowboys are for real and can run away with the NFC East, they allow the Lions to claw back with a fourth-quarter drive in Week 8 and then struggle to beat the lowly Vikings the following Sunday. Three of the Cowboys’ four losses have been by 3 points or less. They currently are on top of the division, but that can change at a moment's notice.

Signature win: Week 6 over the Washington Redskins

Howard Smith - USA TODAY Sports http://static.foxsports.com/content/fscom/img/2013/10/29/102913-NFL-midseason-grades-TV-G17_20131029185231822_600_400.JPG http://static.foxsports.com/content/fscom/img/2013/10/29/102913-NFL-midseason-grades-TV-G17_20131029185231822_107_80.JPG
NFL 5 43 Who is making the grade? NFL report cards are handed out 31947214 Philadelphia Eagles (4-5), C Philadelphia+Eagles+%284-5%29%2C+C NFL

Chip Kelly’s offense looked like it had come crashing down to earth. QB Michael Vick was out with a hamstring injury and backup Nick Foles was dealing with concussion symptoms. But then came a trip to Oakland in Week 9 and the Eagles exploded. Foles threw 7 TD passes and the Eagles offense sprang back to life in a dominating win. If Philly's defense can continue to improve, this team will compete for a division crown.

Signature win: Week 1 over the Washington Redskins

Joe Camporeale - USA TODAY Sports http://static.foxsports.com/content/fscom/img/2013/10/29/102913-NFL-midseason-grades-TV-G18_20131029185231824_600_400.JPG http://static.foxsports.com/content/fscom/img/2013/10/29/102913-NFL-midseason-grades-TV-G18_20131029185231824_107_80.JPG
NFL 5 43 Who is making the grade? NFL report cards are handed out 31947211 Washington Redskins (3-5), C- Washington+Redskins+%283-5%29%2C+C- NFL

Robert Griffin III has clearly lacked some playmaking ability from a season ago. The defense has been playing at all-time low levels. Somehow they’re still in the hunt for the NFC East crown. A big home win over the Chargers in Week 9 could build some momentum for this team in the second half of the season.

Signature win: Week 5 over the New York Giants

Chris Humphreys - USA TODAY Sports http://static.foxsports.com/content/fscom/img/2013/10/29/102913-NFL-midseason-grades-TV-G19_20131029185231823_600_400.JPG http://static.foxsports.com/content/fscom/img/2013/10/29/102913-NFL-midseason-grades-TV-G19_20131029185231823_107_80.JPG
NFL 5 43 Who is making the grade? NFL report cards are handed out 31947222 Minnesota Vikings (1-7), D- Minnesota+Vikings+%281-7%29%2C+D- NFL

Leslie Frazier tried to pull the plug on The Christian Ponder Era in Week 7, but had his hand forced after quarterback Josh Freeman sustained concussion-like symptoms. It’s evident that this team won’t be returning to the postseason as their pass defense ranks near the bottom in the league.

Signature win: Week 4 over the Pittsburgh Steelers

Brace Hemmelgarn - USA TODAY Sports http://static.foxsports.com/content/fscom/img/2013/10/29/102913-NFL-midseason-grades-TV-G28_20131029185507842_600_400.JPG http://static.foxsports.com/content/fscom/img/2013/10/29/102913-NFL-midseason-grades-TV-G28_20131029185507842_107_80.JPG
NFL 5 43 Who is making the grade? NFL report cards are handed out 31947223 Detroit Lions (5-3), B Detroit+Lions+%285-3%29%2C+B NFL

The Lions are in the Packers’ rear-view mirror, but nobody is giving them a real chance at winning the division. It’s no secret that the offense runs through Matthew Stafford, so if the fifth-year quarterback can continue to pilot scoring drives this team should be just fine.

Signature win: Week 8 over the Dallas Cowboys

Mike Carter - USA TODAY Sports http://static.foxsports.com/content/fscom/img/2013/10/29/102913-NFL-midseason-grades-TV-G26_20131029185507844_600_400.JPG http://static.foxsports.com/content/fscom/img/2013/10/29/102913-NFL-midseason-grades-TV-G26_20131029185507844_107_80.JPG

The Packers have been as beat up as any other team in the NFL. They’ve lost key contributors on both sides of the ball and now will be without star QB Aaron Rodgers for a little while after he suffered a fractured collarbone in a Week 9 loss to the Bears. As a result, Green Bay lost its hold on its NFC North lead and will have to tread water until Rodgers returns. Will the Packers be able to survive?

Signature win: Week 6 over the Baltimore Ravens

NFL 5 43 Who is making the grade? NFL report cards are handed out 31947225 Chicago Bears (5-3), B Chicago+Bears+%285-3%29%2C+B NFL

Jay Cutler has been able to make the most of Marc Trestman’s offense, before going down with an injury in Week 7. While Brandon Marshall gets a majority of the recognition, second-year wide receiver Alshon Jeffery has been playing at a high level, too. Backup QB Josh McCown did an admirable job filling in for Cutler, leading the Bears to a big win over the Packers in Week 9. With Cutler slated to return in Week 10, things are looking up.

Signature win: Week 1 over the Cincinnati Bengals

NFL 5 43 Who is making the grade? NFL report cards are handed out 31947226 Tampa Bay Buccaneers (0-8), F Tampa+Bay+Buccaneers+%280-8%29%2C+F NFL

It can’t get much worse for the Buccaneers. They released their franchise quarterback. Their Pro Bowl running back tore his labrum. And their second-year head coach is on the hot seat. Said seat started to boil when Tampa blew a 21-0 lead and lost in Seattle in Week 9. After an offseason of adding to the roster, the Bucs are still searching for their first win.

Signature win: Yeah, that’s a sore subject.

NFL 5 43 Who is making the grade? NFL report cards are handed out 31947221 New Orleans Saints (6-2), A- New+Orleans+Saints+%286-2%29%2C+A- NFL

Sean Payton’s presence has made all the difference. Rob Ryan has maximized the potential of all his young talent on the defensive side of the ball. Although Jimmy Graham has been hampered with a partially torn plantar fascia, he hasn’t shown any ill effects, hauling in 10 touchdown receptions. They had a grip on a solid "A" grade until a bad loss to the Jets in Week 9 knocked the Saints down a peg.

Signature win: Week 5 over the Chicago Bears

NFL 5 43 Who is making the grade? NFL report cards are handed out 31947227 Atlanta Falcons (2-6), D Atlanta+Falcons+%282-6%29%2C+D NFL

Injuries have plagued the Atlanta Falcons. After an NFC Championship Game berth last season, it seemed the Falcons were just a few pieces away from making a title run. Instead, it seems like they'll spend the rest of the season looking up at New Orleans and Carolina in the NFC South.

Signature win: Week 2 over St. Louis Rams

NFL 5 43 Who is making the grade? NFL report cards are handed out 31947224 Carolina Panthers (5-3), B Carolina+Panthers+%285-3%29%2C+B NFL

The hot storyline out of Carolina has been Cam Newton’s progression in Year 3. While that has been the case, Ron Rivera’s defensive mind has finally begun to show. The unit is among the best in the league and they haven’t allowed a touchdown in the first quarter all season.

Signature win: Week 9 over the Falcons

NFL 5 43 Who is making the grade? NFL report cards are handed out 31947220 Arizona Cardinals (4-4), B- Arizona+Cardinals+%284-4%29%2C+B- NFL

Did anyone have Bruce Arians and Co. at .500 midway through the season? The first-year head coach has been able to take advantage of his playmakers on defense and could’ve found a home-run hitter on offense. Rookie Andre Ellington leads the team in rushing and is fresh off a 154-yard performance against the Falcons.

Signature win: Week 2 over the Detroit Lions

NFL 5 43 Who is making the grade? NFL report cards are handed out 31947219 San Francisco 49ers (6-2), A- San+Francisco+49ers+%286-2%29%2C+A- NFL

While the 49ers have missed components of their NFC Championship team last season, they’ve been able to win five straight games heading into their Week 9 bye. Aldon Smith, who has been in rehab for an alcohol problem after a Week 4 win against the Rams, hasn’t been missed much as the defense has still been able to stifle their opponents. What’s more, Colin Kaepernick is hitting his stride in Greg Roman’s offense.

NFL 5 43 Who is making the grade? NFL report cards are handed out 31947217 St. Louis Rams (3-6), C- St.+Louis+Rams+%283-6%29%2C+C- NFL

Sam Bradford’s season-ending injury all but seals the Rams’ hopes in the second half of the season. While St. Louis had high expectations coming into this year, they stumbled out of the gate in their first four games. Rookie running back Zac Stacy appears to be capable of carrying the load and their defense is as fierce as they come.

Signature win: Week 6 over the Houston Texans

NFL 5 43 Who is making the grade? NFL report cards are handed out 31947218 Seattle Seahawks (8-1), A Seattle+Seahawks+%288-1%29%2C+A NFL

The Seahawks have won eight of their nine, mostly in impressive fashion. Their elite secondary composed of Richard Sherman, Brandon Browner, Earl Thomas and Kam Chancellor has allowed the third-least amount of passing yards. Pete Carroll has them playing with passion and they will only get better with Percy Harvin and Russell Okung set to return in the coming weeks.

Signature win: Week 2 win over the San Francisco 49ers
