Tom Brady has a new best friend in Kenbrell Thompkins
By Laces Out Crew
By Ross Jones, FOXSports.com It was only a matter of time until someone emerged from the
Patriots offense as
Tom Brady’s new favorite target. That guy is rookie wide receiver Kenbrell Thompkins. Thompkins, who was an undrafted free agent from Cincinnati, hauled in two touchdown passes in Sunday’s 23-3 win against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. What’s more is Thompkins was targeted seven times. Brady did spread the ball around the yard as he got rookie
Julian Edelman and
Brandon Bolden involved in the passing game. For all of the panic in New England, the Patriots are 3-0 and primed for a Week 4 matchup against the Atlanta Falcons. While it's encouraging that the young receivers are getting in the mix, Brady has
reportedly been keeping in contact with veteran receivers Deion Branch and Brandon Lloyd.
