When the Seahawks acquired wide receiver Percy Harvin via trade in March, several analysts had the team pegged to be immediate Super Bowl contenders. Then, Harvin suffered a hip injury which required surgery and expectations were tempered as he was likely lost for a majority of the season.
Well, the sixth-year wide receiver could be back sooner than expected as he voiced his hope to be back by Week 7 when the Seahawks travel to Arizona to play the Cardinals.
What’s goin 12th man just checkn in …I’m making serious progress …keep an eye on week 7…don’t hang them 11’s up…..we workn
The Seahawks were hoping to get Harvin back around Thanksgiving and any sooner would obviously be welcomed.
Head coach Pete Carroll recently said that there wouldn’t be a hard timeline in place for Harvin’s return until at least mid-September. Harvin, who was placed on the reserve PUP list last week, could be a major factor for the Russell Wilson-led unit when he’s available.
