Today’s start for Matt Ryan left a little to be desired. Ryan, who has led his Atlanta Falcons to a 8-1 record this season, threw three picks in the first quarter against the Arizona Cardinals and somehow managed to be tied 16-16 heading into halftime.
Ryan’s rough start happened very quickly as he tossed his first pick to Rashad Johnson on the Falcons’ first play from scrimmage. The next two picks came courtesy of William Gay and Kerry Rhodes later on during the first quarter. The Cardinals have a great secondary, but not necessarily three interceptions in the first quarter great.
