It’s May, so DeMarco is already sidelined with a ‘hamstring tweak’

Too soon to start worrying about DeMarco Murray? That’s never the case in Dallas. The talented running back was sidelined with what Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett describes as a “hamstring tweak.”

For a talented running back, Murray has missed way too much time in his first two seasons. He’s missed a total of nine games, including six last season with a lingering foot issue.

Garrett plans to take a conservative approach with Murray and expects him to return to practice “early next week.” Of course he then reminded the media that it’s May 21 and there is no reason to panic, according to the team website.

That may be the case, but with an injury-prone running back, the Cowboys’ fan base might not be so understanding.
