Glazer: Jonathan Martin left Dolphins facility after cafeteria incident

By Ross Jones,

Dolphins offensive tackle Jonathan Martin went AWOL this week and is seeking treatment after being pranked by teammates in the cafeteria, NFL insider Jay Glazer said on FOX Football Daily.

Martin hasn’t practiced all week because of what the team termed an undisclosed illness. The second-year tackle out of Stanford has been listed as doubtful for Thursday night’s game with the Bengals.

Martin was the victim of a prank in the cafeteria, with teammates allegedly getting up from the lunch table when he was last to sit down. Martin “flipped out” and proceeded to “smash his food tray on the ground,” according to Glazer. He added this:

Glazer says Martin has been in contact with the team. No word on what type of treatment Martin is seeking, or what other events led up to this.
