Bills rookie quarterback EJ Manuel grabbed his right knee and was immediately tended to by trainers in the third quarter of Thursday night’s game.
Manuel scrambled to his left, got the first down and was hit by a Browns cornerback before running out of bounds. Manuel was able to walk to the sideline under his own power but had a noticeable limp. After riding on the stationary bicycle and trying to walk off the injury on the sideline, Manuel was taken to the locker room for further examination. His return is doubtful.
Undrafted rookie quarterback Jeff Tuel replaced Manuel and led a scoring drive.
