Peyton Manning" src="http://static.foxsports.com/content/fscom/img/2013/05/29/052913-laces-out-peyton-manning-golf-LN-G_20130529131339407_600_400.JPG" alt="" width="600" height="400" /> Did you know that Peyton Manning likes to hit the links every now and again? Makes sense, because he looks good in golf pants.
You know what else? He and John Elway are pretty damn good at the game, as was plain to see recently when the pair and
Broncos head coach John Fox spent a weekend playing at Augusta National, home of the Masters. In case you need your memory refreshed, this is what the course looks like:
Manning had a best round of 77 for the weekend, while team vice president Elway shot rounds of 79, 74 and 72. That's right, a 72. That's pro level right there. Even at this age, Elway can still do things that boggle the mind. Oh ... Fox didn't fare as well. "I played horribly," the coach
said to the Los Angeles Times. "I started out as a 14-handicap, but after they saw the way I was playing, they moved me to a 20." Manning's success at Augusta was a follow-up to the hole-in-one he scored at Castle Pines, located outside Denver. "This was the first one I'd ever seen go in," Manning said. "In college, we looked in the bunker, the woods, everywhere, and somebody said, 'It's in the hole!' It's a little anticlimactic."
