News: The Jets have signed Davis, adding a big blocker to their offense.
Impact: The 6-foot-7, 265-pound Davis signed with the Giants last offseason, but was cut during the summer. He was signed by the Lions in October, released and then re-signed and played in six games, mostly as a blocker.

News: Davis didn't catch any passes during the 2014 season.
Impact: Davis, who was active for six games with the Lions, only drew three targets all season, after being released by the Giants at the end of August. He's never been much of a receiving threat, and the Lions have solid depth at tight end. Davis will likely look for a new home in the offseason, but he'll have to compete for a roster spot, regardless of where he lands.
