News: The Indianapolis Colts have placed McNary on the commissioner's exempt list.
Impact: The decision comes less than 24 hours after prosecutors charged McNary with rape, criminal confinement with bodily injury and battery resulting in bodily injury. On Wednesday, the Colts said they were aware of the allegations but did not have enough information to take action.

News: McNary will start at inside linebacker with Jerrell Freeman (hamstring) inactive for Sunday's game against Tennessee, the ESPN reports.
Impact: McNary should get plenty of playing time, as the Colts will likely limit playing time for their starters ahead of the playoffs with the team's playoff seeding set.
