News: Powers totaled 53 tackles (48 solo), 10 passes defended, three interceptions, two tackles for loss, one sack, and one forced fumble during the 2014 season.
Impact: During his first four years in the league, Powers never played more than 12 games in a given season. However, he hasn't missed a game since joining the Cardinals in 2013, averaging 54 tackles, two picks, and one forced fumble per campaign. His tackle output this year was hindered by the presence of Antonio Cromartie, who was picked up in the offseason, but defensive coordinator Todd Bowles used six or seven defensive backs frequently, thereby allowing Powers to take the field for 70.3 percent of the defensive snaps, according to Football Outsiders. Cromartie is an impending unrestricted free agent, though, meaning Powers could regain a starting role next season.
