News: Jenkins had a huge game for the Bears in Sunday's 26-0 loss to the Seahawks, finishing with a career-high 10 tackles and two sacks.
Impact: Jenkins played 56 of 57 total snaps and submitted arguably the best performance of his career. As a 3-4 defensive end, Jenkins hadn't shown much pass-rushing ability in the past, as he only collected two sacks during his previous 44 games as a member of the Redskins. However, he showed plenty of explosiveness from the interior line Sunday, nearly reeling in a third sack on the afternoon before Russell Wilson evaded the rush. Given his career track record, Jenkins probably can't be counted on to build on this performance, but it at least solidified him into a starting role with Jeremiah Ratliff's pending return from a suspension for Week 4.

News: Jenkins is expected to open the season as one of the Bears' starting defensive ends, the Chicago Tribune reports.
Impact: With the Bears implementing a 3-4 scheme this season, Jenkins isn't expected to provide much impact as a pass rusher, limiting his fantasy appeal. If rookie nose tackle Eddie Goldman recovers from his concussion quickly and excels in the early going, it's possible that Jenkins could be pushed out of a starting role once Jeremiah Ratliff -- who can play either tackle or end -- returns from his three-game suspension.
