News: Moncrief had four receptions for 55 yards on five targets and had one carry for seven yards in Sunday's win over Jacksonville.
Impact: Moncrief got playing time in the second half, after T.Y. Hilton left with an ankle injury. Hilton's injury isn't thought to be serious, but Sunday's performance shows Moncrief's role in the offense could grow.
News: Nicks caught all four passes thrown his way for 50 yards and a touchdown Sunday against the Jaguars.
Impact: Nicks bounced back from his minus-four yards in Week 2 to score his second touchdown in three games, a huge total considering he failed to score at all last year in 15 games. Nicks' touchdown came on a goal-line throw to put the Colts up 37-3 and given his size, he could continue to get looks from in close. Up next is a tough matchup against a Titans defense that has been very good against the pass this season.
News: Richardson had 14 carries for 57 rushing yards and three catches on four targets for 23 receiving yards Sunday against the Jaguars.
Impact: Richardson led the team in carries Sunday, though Ahmad Bradshaw finished with eight more yards on five fewer carries, while also catching a touchdown pass for the third time in the last two games. The Colts seem comfortable giving both backs an equal share of touches, which certainly puts a ceiling on their potential fantasy values on a weekly basis. Up next in Week 4 is a decent matchup against a Titans defense that is much better against the pass than the run this season.
News: Bradshaw had nine carries for 65 rushing yards and two catches on three targets for 18 receiving yards and a touchdown Sunday against the Jaguars.
Impact: Trent Richardson finished with five more carries than Bradshaw, though he turned them into eight fewer yards. The Colts seem comfortable playing both backs roughly equally, which is a tough situation from a fantasy perspective. Bradshaw has been effective in the passing game, as he now has three receiving touchdowns in the last two games. While Richardson will continue to limit Bradshaw's fantasy upside, the latter appears to be the higher-upside play heading into Week 4 against the Titans, who are much better against the pass than the run this season.
News: Luck completed 31-of-39 passes for 370 yards and four touchdowns, while also adding 15 rushing yards in a 44-17 win over the Jaguars on Sunday.
Impact: Luck completed passes to nine different receivers, throwing his touchdowns to wide receiver Hakeem Nicks, running back Ahmad Bradshaw and tight ends Coby Fleener and Dwayne Allen. In fact, he could have had another touchdown, but Fleener let a perfectly thrown ball pass right through his hands in the end zone. Nevertheless, it was a dominant performance that tied his season-high in passing yards, while increasing his passing touchdown total to nine in three games. Up next is a tough Week 4 matchup against a Titans defense ranked second in the league against the pass so far this season.
News: Colts coach Chuck Pagano said after Sunday's game that he does not think Hilton's ankle injury is "too severe", Kevin Bowen of Colts.com reports.
Impact: Hilton never returned to Sunday's game, but there was really no reason for him to do so, with the Colts holding an insurmountable lead. While obviously not a bad sign, Pagano's initial optimism isn't all that meaningful. If Hilton isn't ready for Week 4 against the Titans, Hakeem Nicks and Donte Moncrief will likely see added snaps and targets.
News: Hilton (ankle) will not return to Sunday's game against the Jaguars, Mike Wells of the Indianapolis Star reports.
Impact: With the Colts holding a commanding lead over the Jaguars, there's no real need for Hilton to reenter the game and risk further aggravation of his sprained ankle. Fantasy owners should monitor his status during the upcoming week of practices carefully, however, as the injury could prevent him from suiting up in Week 4 vs. the Titans.
News: Hilton left Sunday's game against the Jaguars in the third quarter with an ankle sprain and is questionable to return, Stephen Holder of the Indianapolis Star reports.
Impact: Hilton came into Sunday's game nursing a groin injury, and while that ultimately didn't stop him from playing, the ankle sprain could prove more concerning. Even if the sprain is deemed minor, it wouldn't be surprising if the Colts kept Hilton out the rest of the game, with the team holding a commanding 30-0 lead. Hilton had five catches for 80 yards before departing.
News: Hilton (groin) is listed as active for Sunday's game against the Jaguars.
Impact: Hilton, who has caught 11 passes for 106 yards in two games, is out there if you need him Sunday. He's a candidate to continue to see plenty of looks, with back-to-back 11-target games out of the gate.
