News: Selvie signed a one-year, $1.4 million contract with the Giants, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports.
Impact: Selvie started 29 of the 32 games he played for the Cowboys over the past two seasons, piling up 60 tackles and 10 sacks over that stretch. The 28-year-old probably won't be a starter or an IDP option in 2015, but the Giants found a nice bargain to improve their defensive line depth. There is some chance Selvie could compete with Damontre Moore and/or Robert Ayers (pectoral) for the starting spot opposite Jason Pierre-Paul.

News: The New York Giants have signed Selvie, a college teammate of Jason Pierre-Paul, to help strengthen their defensive line. The Giants announced the signing on Friday. Contract terms were not immediately available.
Impact: Selvie and Pierre-Paul were together at South Florida and it's conceivable they could go into the season as the Giants' starting defensive ends in September. Selvie has played in 68 regular-season games with 29 starts in five seasons for St. Louis, Carolina, Jacksonville and Dallas. His career totals include 126 tackles, 13 sacks, three forced fumbles and four fumble recoveries.
