News: Atkins has been added to the Pro Bowl, replacing the injured Ndamukong Suh from Detroit.
Impact: It's Atkins' third Pro Bowl selection. It gives the Bengals three players in the game, along with receiver A.J. Green and punter Kevin Huber. Atkins was picked despite coming off a subpar season, his first back from a torn anterior cruciate ligament. He had only three sacks and 34 tackles. Before the knee injury in 2013, Atkins led all interior NFL linemen in sacks.

News: Atkins has been diagnosed with a slight hyperextension of his right knee, NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reports.
Impact: The source says the injury is a minor one, which is welcome news considering the bleaker alternatives involving Atkins' surgically repaired knee. With a few extra days to heal before Cincinnati's next game Nov. 16 against New Orleans, Atkins may not have to miss any time.

News: Atkins left Thursday's game against the Browns with an injury to his surgically-repaired right knee, according to CBS Sports' Tracy Wolfson.
Impact: Atkins is only 12 months removed from surgery to repair a torn ACL, and while he hasn't quite been his usual self this season, he's played in each of Cincinnati's nine games. Devon Still and Brandon Thompson figure to play added snaps in Atkins' absence.
