Defensive lineman B.J. Raji was resigned for one year and about $4 million. He was key in the team's title run in 2010, and his re-upped contract does not significantly hurt the team's cap.
4. Letroy Guion
The former Vikings defensive tackle, signed a one year deal for under a million dollars. He adds depth and ability to a defensive line unit that has been a focal point of this off-season.
3. James Starks
Starks was re-signed for two years, and his presence will certainly help. He can provide fill-in duties, and be a change of pace type back for Eddie Lacy
2. Sam Shields
Shields was given one of the biggest deals of any of the free agents that were sigend or re-sigend by the team. A four year deal worth $39 million is a nice way of saying we need you. His talent and skill is worth all that money.
1. Julius Peppers
The former Bears defensive end, and future Hall of Famer; signed a three year, $30 million deal. He will be a huge presence in the defensive front.
