Titans kick returner/wide receiver Marc Mariani suffered a broken leg Aug. 23 in a gruesome injury during Tennessee's preseason game with the Cardinals. He underwent surgery the same night for the broken tibia and fibula in his lower left leg. Mariani was a Pro Bowl pick as a returner in 2010.

Lofa Tatupu will miss the 2012 season with a pectoral injury that requires season-ending surgery. The Falcons cut him one day after the news of his injury was announced. Tatupu signed with the Falcons in March after playing his whole career for the Seahawks.
