News: McFadden has agreed to a two-year contract with the Cowboys, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports.
Impact: Coming off three straight seasons in which he averaged fewer than 3.5 yards per carry, McFadden will look to bounce back with the Cowboys in his age-28 campaign. While the upgrade in his offensive line will be massive, McFadden's once-elite athleticism has waned over the years, and 2014 marked the first time he played all 16 games. Given McFadden's lack of recent success, he'll have to earn his touches with a strong training camp and preseason. After losing DeMarco Murray to the Eagles, Dallas figures to bring in another running back or two via free agency and/or the draft. The team also has Lance Dunbar, Joseph Randle and Ryan Williams under contract. McFadden's best-case scenario likely involves splitting touches with one or two other players.

News: The Dallas Cowboys have agreed to a contract with Darren McFadden a day after losing NFL rushing champ DeMarco Murray to NFC East rival Philadelphia.
Impact: McFadden had seven mostly disappointing seasons in Oakland after the Raiders drafted him fourth overall in 2008. His agent, Ian Greengross, tweeted Friday that McFadden was joining the Cowboys. The deal is reportedly for two years and worth up to $5.9 million.
