News: Chiefs coach Andy Reid announced Wednesday that the team has released Gray, the Kansas City Star reports.
Impact: Gray, who tore his ACL in Week 10 of the 2014 season, was limited to just eight carries for 31 yards and one touchdown in nine games before the injury kept him out for the remainder of the year. He was mostly used on special teams, as he was buried on the running back depth chart behind Jamaal Charles and Knile Davis. With Gray gone, Charcandrick West and Keshawn Hill currently slot in as depth options at the position.
