News: Butler could see additional playing time moving forward, CSN Bay Area reports. "To get him more involved offensively, we probably have to look at where some of the other plays are," interim coach Tony Sparano said. "We tried to get [Kenbrell Thompkins] involved, so his play count was up a little bit higher. We probably have to spread that out a little bit more within that group."
Impact: Butler played a mere 11 snaps against Arizona, four of which were rushing plays, a week after catching three passes for 64 yards and a touchdown against San Diego. He made the most of his lone target, however, hauling in a 55-yard catch that set up the team's only touchdown, the longest reception of his young career. It led Browns coach Mike Pettine to say, unprompted, that Butler "jumps off the tape" and that he's "a major threat" when the ball's in his hands, though it doesn't sound like the Raiders plan to increase Butler's role dramatically in the weeks ahead. Rather, it seems he will just take away some snaps from Thompkins, who was on the field for 30 plays last week.

News: Butler caught three passes on five targets for 64 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 31-28 loss to the Chargers.
Impact: Butler had just three receptions on the season coming into the game, but he matched that number Sunday, while adding his first career touchdown on an impressive, 47-yard catch-and-run in the third quarter. It's possible the team's addition of Kenbrell Thomkins this week lit a fire under Butler, but until he starts seeing consistent looks, it'll be hard to justify giving him any serious fantasy consideration.
