News: Jones signed a two-year contract with the Eagles on Monday.
Impact: Recently released by the Packers, Jones struggled with both injuries and ineffective play in 2014, but he does have 36 career starts to his name. He's a candidate to start next to Mychal Kendricks in Philly's 3-4 defense, but Jones probably won't have a three-down role, even if he gets the job. So long as Kendricks stays healthy, Jones is unlikely to emerge as an IDP option.

News: Jones was released by the Packers on Friday.
Impact: Jones joined Green Bay as a seventh-round pick in 2009 and earned a starting inside linebacker position ahead of the 2013 campaign. However, despite posting a career-best 84 tackles (60 solo) that year, Jones often left something to be desired from his performances and was jumped by both Jabari Lattimore and Sam Barrington on the Packers' depth chart at times during the 2014 campaign. Upon his release Friday, Jones will now enter the offseason as a free agent capable of signing with any team league-wide.

News: Jones was released Friday by Green Bay, ending the former starting linebacker's six-year tenure with the Packers.
Impact: Jones took every defensive snap in the season opener against Seattle before being supplanted in the starting lineup with the Packers looking to shore up the inside linebacker position. By the end of the season, Clay Matthews and Sam Barrington were seeing most of the playing time at inside linebacker in place of Jones and veteran A.J. Hawk. Jones was a Packers' seventh-round draft pick in 2009, starting 41 games.
