News: Spencer signed a one-year contract with the Saints on Friday.
Impact: Spencer had a down season for the Cowboys in 2014, after missing nearly all of 2013 to undergo microfracture knee surgery. The former first-round draft pick is still only 31 years old, and he should provide the Saints with some added depth, at the very least. If he can somehow get back to his top form from his 2012 breakout season, Spencer could be one of the biggest steals of the free-agency period. He doesn't yet warrant IDP consideration.

News: New Orleans Saints general manager Mickey Loomis says the club has signed Spencer to a one-year contract.
Impact: Spencer, a first-round draft choice by the Cowboys in 2007, has played linebacker and defensive end during eight NFL seasons. Last season, Spencer played defensive end as he returned from a knee injury that sidelined him for most of 2013. He was credited with 25 tackles, half a sack, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery that he returned for a touchdown. In 2012, Spencer was a Pro Bowl linebacker after recording career highs of 106 tackles and 11 sacks.
