News: Irving (hip) will be available for Saturday's FIBA World Cup game against Mexico after coach Mike Krzyzewski deemed him "100 percent" on Friday, ESPN reports.
Impact: Irving incurred a hard fall during the closing seconds of Thursday's game against Ukraine. He had to be helped to the locker room but apparently the injury isn't a long-term issue and his availability for the rest of the World Cup is not in question, much less the start of the NBA season.

News: Irving fell hard and injured his hip in the fourth quarter of Team USA's win over Ukraine in the FIBA World Cup of Basketball, the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports. The Cavalier point guard had to be helped to the locker room.
Impact: Irving tweeted after the game that he was fine, but he has hardly been a paragon of health in his early career. Depending on its ultimate seriousness, the injury shouldn't affect Irving's status for the upcoming season, but he may cede time to Derrick Rose for Team USA in upcoming games.
