News: Noah said he has work to do on his surgically-repaired left knee, but he said the knee responded well to his first back-to-back action of the preseason, the Chicago Tribune's K.C. Johnson reports. "I still have to get my strength back in my leg. Just trying to manage practicing, playing. But overall I'm happy with it," Noah said. "I just have to deal with it. I'll be ready."
Impact: Noah is expected to wear a knee brace all season long, but his status for the start of the regular season is not in jeopardy. Hopefully with Pau Gasol and Taj Gibson also on the roster, Noah won't be pushed too hard in terms of minutes. He remains one of the better centers in fantasy hoops, and should be drafted as such.

News: Butler has been diagnosed with a sprained left thumb, and will miss the rest of the preseason, the Chicago Tribune's K.C. Johnson reports.
Impact: The Bulls will reevaluate the starting shooting guard prior to the start of the regular season, so he should be considered questionable in that sense. Butler won't practice this week, so hopefully the time off will allow him to heal up, and even if he misses the first couple games of the regular season, he should be back on the court in relatively short order. Kirk Hinrich would be his most likely replacement in the starting lineup if he had to miss time.
Aaron Brooks - #0 - Point Guard - 6'0" - 161lbs
News: Brooks scored nine points (4-10 FG, 1-3 3Pt) to go along with two rebounds, four assists and one block in 24 minutes Monday against the Cavaliers.
Impact: Brooks doesn't hesitate to shoot and provides the Bulls with a nice sparkplug off the bench. He may have the occasional offensive outburst, but is unlikely to have a significant fantasy impact this season unless the Bulls backcourt were to suffer a significant injury.
Tony Snell - #20 - Guard-Forward - 6'7" - 200lbs
News: Snell scored seven points (3-11 FG, 1-6 3Pt) to go along with six rebounds, one assist and one steal in 28 minutes Monday against the Cavaliers.
Impact: Snell saw more action than normal Monday with Jimmy Butler (thumb) out of action. When Butler returns, expect Snell to see limited minutes again.
Kirk Hinrich - #12 - Guard - 6'4" - 190lbs
News: Hinrich scored two points (1-4 FG, 0-3 3Pt) to go along with four assists and one steal in 16 minutes Monday against the Cavaliers.
Impact: Hinrich started in place of Jimmy Butler (thumb), but wasn't able to contribute much as he didn't see a lot of playing time. He may get the occasional start this season in place of an injured starter and could have the occasional offensive explosion as well, but he won't be a major contributor on a nightly basis.
News: Rose scored 30 points (12-18 FG, 4-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT) to go along with five rebounds and three assists in 24 minutes Monday against the Cavaliers.
Impact: Rose exploded and took over in the middle part of this game. This was the best he has looked this preseason as he showed explosiveness and excellent shooting from behind the arc. Rose's talent is without question, but he'll need to stay healthy is fantasy owners are going to cash in.
News: Butler (thumb) will not require surgery on his sprained thumb, K.C. Johnson of the Chicago Tribune reports.
Impact: Butler left Sunday's contest with the injury and did not return. Owners can rest easy, however, as he's only slated to miss a few days and should be fine when the regular season opens. Butler will not play against the Cavs on Monday and is slated to undergo an MRI on Tuesday, after which a firmer timetable will likely be established.
News: Dunleavy returned to the court Sunday against the Hornets, scoring seven points and grabbing nine boards in 30 minutes.
Impact: As expected, Dunleavy returned from a minor knee injury and immediately played big minutes as the starting small forward. The veteran will continue in the role when the regular season opens, though new additions Doug McDermott and Nikola Mirotic will challege him for playing time, particularly if they prove to be capable defenders.

News: Butler left Sunday's exhibition game with a sprained left thumb.
Impact: The extent of Butler's injury is uncertain, but expect an update on his status as more details become available.
Sat. Oct 18, 2014 | RotoWire
News: Dunleavy (knee) is expected to play Sunday against the Hornets, ESPN Chicago reports.
Impact: Dunleavy's injury doesn't appear to be serious and the Bulls just wanted to make sure they didn't make things worse by playing him in meaningless games. Dunleavy's absence has opened the door for Doug McDermott to work his way into the discussion for the starting shooting guard job. Dunleavy is used to coming off of the bench, so it wouldn't be surprising if he ends up there at some point this season.
Sat. Oct 18, 2014 | RotoWire
News: Rose might have his minutes increased Sunday against the Hornets, ESPN Chicago reports.
Impact: Rose has not played more than 22 minutes in any game this preseason as the Bulls look to ease him back from missing most of last season. Rose hasn't showed any signs of problems so far, so the Bulls hope to be able to play him without restrictions once the regular season begins.
News: Noah scored seven points (3-5 FG, 1-2 FT) to go along with 13 rebounds, four assists, three blocks and one steal in 27 minutes Thursday against the Hawks.
Impact: Noah has seen limited minutes so far this preseason as he continues to recover from offseason knee surgery, but this was the type of overall stat line that fantasy owners grew accustomed to last season. It will be hard for him to have another superb season like he did last year, but he should still be a valuable fantasy option.
News: McDermott scored four points (1-5 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT) to go along with nine rebounds and two assists in 27 minutes Thursday against the Hawks.
Impact: McDermott started again Thursday as Mike Dunleavy was forced to miss another game due to injury. Although he didn't score much, McDermott was at least able to contribute on the glass. McDermott continues to get more minutes with the starting unit and Dunleavy is used to coming off of the bench, so don't be surprised to see McDermott in the starting lineup at some point even when Dunleavy is healthy.
News: Butler scored 29 points (8-14 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 12-16 FT) to go along with five rebounds, one assist, two steals and two blocks in 31 minutes Thursday against the Hawks.
Impact: Butler took over the game in the fourth quarter and hit a three-pointer as time expired to win the game. He's been impressive offensively during the preseason to go along with his usual excellent defense. Butler might be on the verge of a breakout fantasy campaign.
News: Dunleavy will not play Thursday against the Hawks, Nick Friedell of ESPN reports.
Impact: Dunleavy slipped on a wet spot on the court during Wednesday's practice and appears to have suffered a minor injury that will hold him out of Thursday's contest. It's likely nothing that will hamper him long-term, however. Rookie Doug McDermott is the frontrunner to get the start in Dunleavy's place.
Wed. Oct 15, 2014 | RotoWire
News: Gasol (back) returned to practice Wednesday and looked good, according to coach Tom Thibodeau, ESPN Chicago's Nick Friedell reports.
Impact: He was never in danger of missing the start of the regular season, and should be considered relatively healthy moving forward.
Tue. Oct 14, 2014 | RotoWire
News: Gasol (back) did not practice Tuesday, ESPN Chicago reports.
Impact: Gasol's injury is not considered serious, but fantasy owners should take note that Gasol has suffered various injuries over the past couple of years. Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau is notorious for pushing his star players, so Gasol might not be able to hold up playing heavy minutes all season if that's the way Thibodeau decides to use him.
Taj Gibson - #22 - Forward-Center - 6'9" - 225lbs
News: Gibson scored 15 points (5-8 FG, 5-6 FT) to go along with four rebounds and one steal in 26 minutes Monday against the Nuggets.
Impact: Gibson will see plenty of minutes as a backup at both power forward and center this season. He is an excellent defensive player who was really improved offensively, making him a solid fantasy option who can be had in the later rounds of many drafts.
News: McDermott scored 16 points (5-8 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 3-4 FT) to go along with five rebounds and two assists in 26 minutes Monday against the Nuggets.
Impact: McDermott showed his ability to shoot from behind the arc Monday as he continues to be one of the main offensive weapons off of the bench for the Bulls. There is a chance he could enter the starting lineup at some point this season if he continues to shoot well and can at least hold his own defensively.
News: Butler scored 21 points (7-8 FG, 7-7 FT) to go along with six rebounds, two assists, two steals and one block in 22 minutes Monday against the Nuggets.
Impact: Butler was extremely productive in limited action Monday and has shown an improved offensive game so far this preseason. If he can keep that going throughout the regular season, he would really increase his fantasy value as he is always a reliable source for defensive stats as well.
News: Dunleavy (knee) scored three points (1-2 FG, 1-1 3Pt) to go along with four rebounds and one assist in 19 minutes Monday against the Nuggets.
Impact: Dunleavy resumed his normal starting job after missing one preseason game due to his knee injury. Although rookie Doug McDermott may eventually take over the starting small forward spot at some point this season, Dunleavy is likely to have the job for at least the start of the year if he is healthy.
News: Dunleavy (knee) will be available to play in Monday's game.
Impact: The Bulls are all at full strength now, which is a good sign midway through the preseason. Coach Tom Thibodeau has said that an eight man rotation is his preference, but it seems that Dunleavy is in that mix, ahead of Doug McDermott and Tony Snell on the depth chart.
News: Dunleavy (knee) will not play in Saturday's preseason game against the Bucks, ESPN Chicago reports.
Impact: A sore left knee will keep Dunleavy on the bench against his former team, and it could jeopardize his availability for Monday's exhibition as well, but there's been nothing to suggest the issue is especially serious. Rookie Doug McDermott will replace Dunleavy in the starting lineup, marking his first start as a professional.
Kirk Hinrich - #12 - Guard - 6'4" - 190lbs
News: Hinrich scored seven points (3-6 FG, 1-3 3Pt) to go along with three rebounds, two assists and one steal in 26 minutes Saturday against the Bucks.
Impact: Hinrich is a solid veteran presence and an excellent leader for the Bulls second unit, but he's not likely to have significant fantasy value this season as the Bulls have a much deeper roster than last year.
News: Gasol posted a double-double in 30 minutes Saturday against the Bucks as he scored 20 points (5-11 FG, 10-12 FT) to go along with 11 rebounds, two assists and three blocks.
Impact: Gasol was dominant Saturday and it was encouraging to see him put up such big numbers in fairly limited minutes. The Bulls are deep up front, so Gasol isn't likely to play much more than 30-35 minutes a game.
News: Noah scored 10 points (3-4 FG, 4-5 FT) to go along with four rebounds, three assists and one block in 24 minutes Saturday against the Bucks.
Impact: Noah saw his most action of the preseason so far as the Bulls continue to ease him back from offseason knee surgery. Look for his minutes to continue to increase as the regular season nears.
News: Rose (lower body) scored 16 points (5-10 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 3-4 FT) to go along with five rebounds, four assists and two steals in 22 minutes Saturday against the Bucks.
Impact: Rose was extremely efficient Saturday and saw his most game action so far this preseason. He was sharp from behind the arc and could really increase his fantasy value if he could shoot well from deep consistently.
News: McDermott started and played 31 minutes Saturday against the Bucks. He finished with seven points (3-6 FG, 1-2 3Pt), eight rebounds, three assists and one block.
Impact: McDermott filled in for the injured Mike Dunleavy (knee) and although Dunleavy's injury is not believed to be serious, it at least showed that McDermott is high enough in the pecking order that the Bulls feel comfortable starting him. McDermott has a chance to have a significant role in his rookie season.
Nikola Mirotic - #44 - Forward - 6'10" - 220lbs
News: Mirotic won't be used at small forward this season, according to Tom Thibodeau, the Chicago Tribune's K.C. Johnson reports.
Impact: This makes sense, especially from a defensive-minded coach like Thibodeau. Mirotic has flashed Dirk Nowitzki/Kevin Durant level skill sets during the preseason, but he would most likely get abused on the defensive end by most NBA small forwards. Of course, this is bad news for his fantasy value, as he will be third on the depth chart at power forward behind Pau Gasol and Taj Gibson.
News: Noah could play in the second half of Saturday's game against the Bucks, depending on how he feels before the game, the Chicago Tribune's K.C. Johnson reports.
Impact: Noah was dealing with a sore knee earlier in camp, and that may still be an issue. However, it's also likely that the Bulls just don't want to use him much in the preseason, as they know what to expect from him, and there are younger players that need to be evaluated.
News: Rose (lower body) practiced Friday and coach Tom Thibodeau said he looked good, ESPN Chicago's Nick Friedell reports.
Impact: Thibodeau said Rose could play in the second half of Saturday's exhibition against the Bucks, depending on how he feels that day during shootaround. It's concerning that Rose is already dealing with soreness in camp, and owners who take him in fantasy drafts should be well-aware that he carries more risk than any other player in fantasy.
Thu. Oct 9, 2014 | RotoWire
News: Rose (lower body) did not practice Thursday, ESPN Chicago reports.
Impact: Rose had some general lower body soreness and the Bulls decided it would be best to give him a day of rest Thursday. Fantasy owners shouldn't be concerned yet, but should proceed with caution based on Rose's injury problems the last couple of seasons.
Wed. Oct 8, 2014 | STATS
News: Noah was fined $15,000 by the NBA on Wednesday.
Impact: Noah initiated an altercation in Monday's exhibition game against the Wizards when he pushed Paul Pierce in the chest.
