News: Jenkins (back) averaged just 14.5 minutes over two games for the Hawks during this year's Las Vegas Summer League.
Impact: Still limited by the back injury that prematurely ended his 2013-14 season, Jenkins contributed very little out in Las Vegas this summer. After averaging just 3.1 points across 13 games during his second NBA campaign, the 23-year-old guard out of Vanderbilt has plenty to prove to coach Mike Budenholzer this offseason. If Jenkins can make a full recovery and display the long range stroke shown as a rookie, he could find a spot in the Hawks' rotation this fall.

News: Muscala averaged 13.8 points (43.3 FG, 20.0 3Pt, 87.5 FT), 7.8 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 0.8 steals, and 0.8 blocks in six games at the Las Vegas Summer League.
Impact: Muscala also averaged 2.5 turnovers, but overall, it was a pretty impressive summer league showing from Muscala. It's unclear how sufficient a role he'll be able to carve out for himself in 2014-15, but if he continues to improve, he'll likely receive some opportunities to contribute off the bench.

News: Schroder recorded 16 points (5-11 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 6-10 FT), seven rebounds, four assists, and two steals in 35 minutes during the Hawks' 78-71 loss versus the Rockets at the Las Vegas Summer League on Saturday.
Impact: Schroder averaged 15.7 points (39.7 FG, 29.4 3Pt, 79.5 FT), 3.8 rebounds, 3.3 assists, and 0.8 steals in six summer league games, but he also averaged 4.5 turnovers. If he's going to earn a more demanding role in 2014-15, he's going to have to take better care of the ball and shoot a better percentage from the field.

News: Muscala contributed 14 points (4-9 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 4-5 FT), six rebounds, two assists, one steal, and one block in 28 minutes during the Hawks' 68-65 win versus the Warriors at the Las Vegas Summer League on Wednesday.
Impact: Muscala started at center, and was extremely efficient offensively. He's been very good so far in the summer league, and he should continue to see plenty of playing time going forward as he looks to improve heading into his sophomore season.

News: Sefolosha was acquired by the Hawks via a sign-and-trade from the Thunder on Tuesday, Atlanta's team website reports.
Impact: Sefolosha agreed to a three-year, $12 million deal with the Hawks a couple days into free agency and has now officially joined Atlanta via trade. The 30-year-old started 61 games for Oklahoma City last season, averaging 6.3 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 1.3 steals. Sefolosha is most noted for his defensive ability, which should earn him playing time at both wing positions in spite of offensive limitations.

News: Antic will not be waived by the Hawks and will have his $1.25 million contract fully guaranteed for next season, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
Impact: As expected, Atlanta will retain Antic, who emerged as a valuable commodity and fan favorite during his first NBA season. The 31-year-old appeared in 50 games (starting 26), benefitting from the loss of Al Horford (pectoral) early in the season. With Horford back in the mix next season, Antic will likely see his role reduced, but he still figures to be a consistent factor in the Atlanta frontcourt.

News: The Atlanta Hawks have requested waivers on Salmons. The move announced Friday was expected after the Hawks acquired Salmons from Toronto last week. Atlanta dealt away guard Lou Williams and the rights to Brazilian center Lucas Nogueira in a move to clear space under the salary cap.
Impact: By paying the $1 million buyout of Salmons' $7 million salary, the Hawks will have about $11.5 million for additional signings. They opened free agency by formally announcing a deal for Oklahoma swingman Thabo Sefolosha. The 34-year-old Salmons averaged 5.2 points in 78 games for the Raptors last season.
