News: Pittman signed a camp deal with the Hawks, Chirs Vivlamore of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
Impact: A second-round pick of the Heat in 2010, Pittman has struggled to carve out a niche in the NBA. The former Texas standout has appeared in just 50 games over four seasons, last playing two games for the Hawks in 2013-14 before signing with Houston, where he was subsequently waived. Pittman has struggled with weight issues in the past and is unlikely to make the final roster.

News: Jenkins (back) is practicing without limitations, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution's Chris Vivlamore reports.
Impact: Jenkins was bothered with a back injury last season, but he should factor into the rotation at shooting guard, behind Kyle Korver and Thabo Sefolosha.

News: Bazemore (foot) will take a limited approach throughout training camp, but should be ready to go come season start, the Atlanta Journal Constitution reports.
Impact: Bazemore had foot surgery in April and was expected to be ready to go come training camp, but the Hawks will take the safe approach and bring him along slowly to start. After being traded to the Lakers at the trade deadline last season, he had a coming out party and averaged 13.1 points, 3.3 rebounds, 3.1 assists, and 1.3 steals, while playing 28 minutes per game. As soon as he's 100 percent healthy, he'll be battling with Thabo Sefolosha for playing time behind Kyle Korver as the backup shooting guard. It's highly unlikely he'll repeat his averages from the second half of last season, as he shouldn't get nearly the minutes he was receiving with the Lakers.

News: Horford (chest) is not yet 100 percent but is expected to be ready for the regular season opener, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports. "I still think he's got some hurdles to clear. He is not at 100 percent right now but I think we anticipate by opening night and through camp him getting to where he is totally cleared and ready to go," coach Mike Budenholzer said. "He's had a heck of a summer. Al is diligent and works hard and takes care of himself so I think that will all be in a good place."
Impact: Horford underwent surgery to repair a torn pectoral muscle in January and missed the remainder of the 2013-14 season. It's been a long road to recovery for the big man, who will be held out of contact for the early part of training camp. Budenholzer declined to say what "percent" Horford is currently at, but all signs indicate he'll be ready to go for the season opener Oct. 29 in Toronto.

News: Brand has signed a one-year, $2 million contract to remain with the Hawks, Yahoo! Sports reports.
Impact: Brand played 73 games, including 15 starts, for the Hawks last season and averaged 5.7 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 1.2 blocks in 19.4 minutes. The 35-year-old former No. 1 overall pick will continue as a reserve forward for Atlanta this season, but it's clear Brand's fantasy value is at an all-time low since entering the league in 1999.
