Watch Steph Curry get into scuffle with Thunder then drill a three at the buzzer

Kevin Durant might have sat out Monday night while he recovers from a knee injury, but that didn’t mean there wasn’t some drama between the Warriors and Thunder.

As the two teams prepared for a jump ball with 5.3 seconds left in the second quarter and the Warriors leading by 17, Steph Curry and Thunder rookie Semaj Christon got into a scuffle as they tried to gain position. Players from both teams began pushing and shoving before the officials separated them. Curry, Christon, Draymond Green and Russell Westbrook were each assessed a technical.

Once the refs restored order, the players lined up again for a jump ball. As his teammates went after the loose ball, Curry leaked out toward the other end of the court. Klay Thompson eventually corralled the ball and threw a long pass to Curry, who fired a three to beat the buzzer and give the Warriors a 59-39 lead at halftime.

Curry, who ran off the court after hitting the shot, finished the half with 17 points, hitting 5 of 8 from deep. Westbrook had a rough first half, scoring just seven points on 2 of 12 shooting.

After the Warriors’ 111-95 win, Green and Westbrook explained what they thought ignited the incident, offering some conflicting views.
