Free-agent center Andrew Bynum signed with the Pacers on Saturday for the remainder of the season.
Bynum played in 24 games with the Cavaliers before being traded to the Bulls, who released the former All-Star on Jan. 7. Bynum averaged 8.4 points and 5.3 rebounds in Cleveland.
The acquisition fortifies Indiana's formidable frontcourt, which is fueled by All-Star center Roy Hibbert and bruising power forward David West.
The Pacers are 2-3 in their past five games but still hold the best record in the Eastern Conference, three games ahead of the two-time defending champion Heat.
