surprised by the decision to let go the same man who was named

around the league after news came down about Denver’s surprising
decision.

Nuggets forward Kenneth Faried:

Faried was also referencing Nuggets ex-GM Masai Ujiri, who
walked away from Denver to take a better-paying job with the
Toronto Raptors.

Forward Quincy Miller:

Guard Evan Fournier:

All of the above tweets are from or about current Nuggets
players, but there was shocked feedback from numerous others around
the league as well.

Warriors guard Brandon Rush:

Kings forward Jason Thompson:

Suns guard Kendall Marshall:

Knicks forward Quentin Richardson:

Ex-NBA center Shelden Williams:

The ever-gracious Karl took to Twitter himself to thank the city
of Denver for all of the love it has showed him over the past nine
seasons.

Always a class act, Coach. Good luck with your next job.
