Metta World Peace expresses interest to coach St John’s

With the school and Steve Lavin parting ways, Metta World Peace wants to go back to his alma mater and become St. John's next head coach.

Metta World Peace, the forward formerly known as Ron Artest, is a St. John’s great, and he has now expressed his interest in coaching his alma mater on Twitter. While reports have surfaced that St. John’s legend Chris Mullin is a candidate for the job, which was vacated by Steve Lavin this afternoon, World Peace has publicly thrown his hat into the ring:

I doubt that he’ll get much traction as a candidate, but truthfully, I’ve never wanted anything more. #MettaWorldPeaceForStJohns.
